Did the number of times you thanked someone for a post show before the changes? I haven't been posting for very long so I'm not sure.
I like to thank someone who has taken the trouble to post something that I find useful. Now that we can see the figures, mine shows loads and some people only have a few. Am I being over-enthusiastic? I feel a bit guilty now, like I've been using the system wrong...:o

    Is it me or is the thanks count gone again? And instead we have a remove thanks button which I don't remember seeing .... ?????

    Seems so.

    The 3rd party vBulletin mod/hack that adds that "thanks" button to the forum has the options for those features. It's just that MSE normally has them disabled, so you would not have seen them before.

    Those extra features for the thanks system have popped up as a side effect of forum upgrades before, and then were disabled again.

    I just wish I had made a note of where and when in the past I've accidentally thanked someone I really didn't mean/want to.

    I could have spent a satisfying 10mins removing them all. :o
