|Unusual Blackberry unlock problem.
Hi Guys,
I know unlocking can be a nightmare but can anyone help me with this?
A friend had a Blackberry Curve 8520 locked to Vodaphone. He bought an unlock code from EBay for 99p and it worked a treat.
I now have a Curve 8520 Gemini locked to T Mobile and went down the same route as my friend but this time there's a problem but I don't think it's the actual code at fault.
To unlock you go into advanced options and sim card and type MEPD (which doesn't appear on the screen) the screen then changes and you type MEP2 and then it asks for the code.
The trouble with this one is that the MEPD works OK but the MEP2 doesn't do anything so I don't get the screen asking for the mep code.
I know about the alt key to change from letters to numbers.
I'm wondering if the Gemini model has something different in it to prevent the unlock. It just seems strange that the Voda unlocked fine but the T Mob wont even ask for the code.
Any ideas, anyone?
Thanks,
Owen

Hi,
I think your best bet would be to contact T-Mobile and ask them if they have a lock code. It may be that its restricted to their network.
All the best,
