Morgan Stanley - Problem

in Credit cards
I have a Morgan Stanley Credit Card as recommended by Martin. I Received my statement this morning to find I had some interest on it despite always paying the bill in full by the required date (Martin would approve).
I called the customer services team who informed me that they have had a system update and that some accounts have had interest added to them by mistake. This will apparently be credited back on your next statement, but not sure if this is because I questioned it.
So keep a check on your statements.

Thanks for the tip, Dr Ed
My statement arrived today and, sure enough, an interest charge has been added by mistake. This will apparently be credited back on your next statement, but not sure if this is because I questioned it.
Advisable to call customer services, IMO, if you're affected. It's a Freefone number after all.
Cheers

I've also been charged £4.25 interest, despite always clearing the balance in full. Will be phoning them shortly.0

Thanks for the tip off. I will keep an eye out for that one. My online statement seemed OK but I will check the posted statement too.0

They did exactly the same with us.
We purchased an item that when delivered was incorrect. Then the shop went bust. We invoked the Section 75 Consumer Protection thing, and despite paying the bill off in full, found they were charging interest whilst it was "in dispute".
I vented my disgust through a phone call (the interest was about £12) and was told to stop moaning as I have loads of cashback (which I pointed out was irrelevant).
So I complained in writing, and sure enough, they agreed they were wrong and the money was refunded - but this took about 3 months to complete.
In the meantime, Egg get my custom now and the MS card is kept solely so I can get my cashback after the 1 year period.0
