Been busy this evening, got home and decided to be a bit organised (does wonders for chaos) so:
1) Made chicken and spinach curry; and homemade salad and h/m dressing (as opposed to the pre-prepared stuff I usually get)
2) Kneaded some dough for making chapattis later...this'll be good, haven't made any in ages, relied too much on nans and pitta bread :S
3) Actually got some studying done - am working through Chapter 2 of Accounting for Managers (choke, puke, hurl, die)! for my part-time Distance Learning MBA (I am mad) - almost finished with this bit so feel pretty good!
Beginning to realise that to be a DFW I need to change a LOT of things in life, but am actually enjoying the challenge rather than thinking it's going to be too hard. Helps to have a fantastic site of support to lean on....
Ramblings over, got to get back to double-entry systems :think:

Well i'll have to wish you good luck now ! See you on the other side.0

Thanks Jim, how are you getting on?

Well done.
Good advice about taking something to eat at the car boot.
I recently went to one to sell and advice would be
- Don't take cassette tapes / vhs (unless blank) - nobody wants them
- Printers and scanners don't seem to sell
- Kids toys go well but nobody wants to pay more than £5
- Books go well
- Computer stuff - goes very well but buyers don't give you time to unpack before decending on you.
I probably wouldn't bother doing another one as ebay is just as successful and could get more money with a £0.99p listing.
Good luck.0 -

Excellent advice there NMCFM, thanks for that. Interesting that you say this, I guess I might do one to see what happens, and then the rest of the time I will ebay. I think the only problem with ebay is that because of shipping costs with heavy stuff, I worry that stuff won't sell. I've already undervalued shipping costs by 41p on four pairs of jeans that I've just sold :S

Right, been busy converting more members of family into DFWs, although they aren't as organised to join the site, the fact that they are looking at their finances in a miles better way is, to me, a massive step in the right direction;
Ebay stuff has been going well, nice to see stuff I'd normally recycle/throw earning me some extra pennies;
PaDing is going well too, have already made £91 odd extra in payments since I started just 4-5 days ago. Amazing how everything counts really.
Need to think a bit more about house-selling too, so am gonna drop my house price down another £10k...am also saving a bit of money towards the deposit etc...I know technically when you're in debt, you shouldn't 'save' money, but I think I'd be more comfortable knowing I've got a bit of cash on the side to help with any eventualities when buying the house, as stuff will only get harder.

Also just realised so very late in the day that it's first of May...in another 14 days I shall be 35.....:eek:0

There's a big Echo in here...am I all alone? Sniff...
Had a crappy day today fighting with councils and housing associations etc, trying to sort out a major parking problem on my road, which is preventing my house from selling quickly/easily - nothing seems to be working...sigh.
Anyway I HAVE balance transfered my highest c/c onto a much lower interest rate, so that's a bit of saving off the interest, so am happy with that DFW task for today. PaDing every day too, and have been having fun on ebay too...it's free listings on the weekend so will get busy with that too...
