Any other updates on how people are getting on with original fitflops, avon ones and skecher ones?"I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best." — Marilyn Monroepinkladymel wrote: »she hasn't lost the ol' Bootsing magic

Here is my experience.
I bought a pair of the children's size 5 sequinned fit flops for £30 instead of the adults size 5 at £50. Exactly the same fit. I appreciate that the children's one have a slightly thinner sole than the adult ones but I actually think that this makes them more attractive to wear that the adult ones.
Anyway, I wore them everyday on honeymoon to Singapore and Bali. The first day the fabric around the toe posts dug in and made my toes a little sore but the next day I was fine.
I wore them everyday and did ALOT of walking in them in 36oC heat. Not once did my feet feel tired or slip around with the sweat.
I have Birkenstocks which I also find comfy but after a day of walking in those, my soles can feel a little sore. Not in my fit flops though. Just Bliss
My wite soles did get a bit grubby but i just rinsed them with soap and water under thetap and they were fine.
I just wish I could get a cheap pair of the Pietra style.0 -

Well I don't really like mine ( originals ) and def wouldn't say they are worth the money. They are ok in this country but I didn't find them at all comfy in hot countries as they are so plasticky. My oh says they look like boats!travelover0 -
Can say with authority that Fitflops -even the ones with the sequins- can be washed in the washing machine! I had mine on a cold wash, normal fabric conditioner and low spin cycle. Didn't get all the dirt off but did help with the appearance a little, am too scared of ruining them to wash them on 30, has anyone else tried this?0

I'm wearing my free *cough* fitflots daily, and find them very comfortable. I tend to wash them under running water. I have found however that I can't drive in them. Now thanks to Tommix & Queen Bear, now Lady Westy of Woodpecker0

Yes, I can't drive in my Avon flops either!July- coconut body shop body butter, pom bear football, mini johnsons lotion, Sally Hansen nail treatments0 -
I have a pair of the Sketchers Tone-ups which I've worn almost non-stop since I got them about 6 weeks ago. I've never worn toe post sandals in my life before but these are great. The soles are very comfortable and they do help with posture. My back isn't as sore as it sometimes has been, and my plantar fascitis is much improved.
I then bought a pair of FitFlops in Boots with my points. Didn't feel I could justify £50 but my points were just sitting there waiting to be spent. I had a bit of a problem with the toe post on these, but last week I bought a pair of Scholl gel pads, and they have helped immensely.
I also bought a pair of the Avon ones. Because they are white I've not worn them as much, but now I know they can be put in the washing machine I'll be less worried about them getting dirty.
Last week in our staffroom we had almost all of the 20+ staff in toe post sandals, and about half of those were the "exercise" kind.
I have driven in the Sketchers and the Fit Flops.0 -
Ive been wearing my Avon ones for about a month now.
Every day, and often virtually all day.
I wear them to work, in the garden, to go shopping, and have no problem at all driving in them.... are you sure you have the right size?
I tried the 6/7 ( I am a 6 normally) but they were huge - and I am sure it would have been impossible to drive it them. I could hardly walk in them without tripping up !;)0
