It is interesting. How can they justify charging an extra £20 for the exact same product, just intended for a different market? Wish i had smaller feet now, it would save me a small fortune!

Well I know from a past job I had that childrens clothes are vat free so technically 17.5% off but the difference is closer to 40% so still a bit high. Maybe they are just charging this price because they can. I recon if they sell well, they will be a higher price next year...

what do the electra look like when they are on? Are they quite big and chunky? I wanted the Pietra ones but JL don't have them anymore and for £20 cheaper, I've ordered the £30 electra's in Gold. COllecting them instore at the weekend.

Just picked up my size 5 kids' Oasis from my local JL, and they're too big so I'm going to have to take them back and order a 4 instead. Does anyone know if they sell these in store too and I'd be able to take them and swap them there, or will I have to send them back and do another order?

It probably depends on how big the store is. I'm sure they would have them in the bigger stores on the shoe selves although probably quite a limited range.

Just received my size 5 Silver Electra Fit Flops from John Lewis - they're clearly marked "Adults" on packaging and delivery note but have a kids label attached. They fit me perfectly (usually Adults size 5) and are very glitzy. Thanks again for posting.

Ah, I see this thread has popped up again.

If anyone's interested, I returned mine via post since my local store didn't seem to have any (and was too busy when I went for me to bother finding an assistant to ask), and the day after I requested the return I got an email saying my replacements had been dispatched, before I had even sent off the originals. I'm sure if I hadn't sent the originals back they'd then have charged me again, but I was very impressed with their speed, it meant I didn't need to wait until I'd sent the originals back and then a few days of "processing" before my replacements got sent out, like some places. Well done, John Lewis returns department. :)

Caris, I too have very wide feet, and tried every design in the fitflop range.....not one fit, until I tried Electra, and although I had to get a 6 instead of my usual 5, they fit perfectly and are really comfortable..Also, I have plantar fasciitis , which means I can't walk for long before being in severve pain, and fitflops claim to help allieviate this complaint, I was concerned about the cost if they didn't help, but I have now had them for 3 weeks, wear them evey day to work, and can honestly say they have worked miracles where my feet are concerned, I can walk for hours whilst wearing them and would recommend them to anyone....Just my experience, and hope it helps.
