Chitted peelings are when the potato starts to sprout, you remove the peel without removing the sprouted bit with a knife and then plant the peel.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Instead I decided to use old t-shirts that were well worn and weren't fit to wear. I cut out pieces slightly bigger than the pads and tied them on. Then I just need to remove them when finished cleaning the floor, wash and they are ready to use again.
Oh I thought I was the only clever person to do this.

Now when it is Summer I have reviewed my skin care regime. My lovely face serum for my dry skin that I use when it is colder I have stopped using for now. The serum is around £25 so not using it for a few months will save a bit money. I have also swopped my richer night cream to a lighter and cheaper cream. No toiletries challenge, started 18/1/2010 - Putting £1 in my savings jar for every item that I use up. Pot 1 to 4 = £261. Pot 5=£23
Boots points:£39.21. Extra money in 2012:£674.59. In 2013 £603.48. 2014: £85. 2015: £0 :j0 -
I got a freebie for a famous brand split end serum. I got 2 sachets, now normally I would just have opened it and used it..... I'm so glad I didn't... you see the directions say you only need 2-3 drops yet they give you 10ml in one sachet! So I had an old small pump bottle (foundation) and after cleaning it out and drying it I put both sachets into the bottle. I now have equivalent of a full bottle from the shops! (current price is £7.99!)
So my advice is read the directions on how much you need to use before you open any sachets as once its opened unless its in a container it will solidify and you'll waste your freebie.
My other tip is before you buy anything check you don't already have the item or something that would do. I've been having a clear out recently and have come across so much eyeshadow, nail files, kirby grips and elastic bands I don't think I'll need to buy any for about ten years! It's amazing what you find at the back of drawers/cupboards.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Sorry to be thick but how does that work? What do you with the peeled potato with the sprouted bit?0 -

Hope you don't mind my replying unixgirl
When the potato starts to sprout you peel it quite thickly where the sprout is then plant that bit of peel which has the sprout attached. This grows to form the new plant. Of course you can use the rest of the potato in whatever way you normally would - boiled, chipped, roasted etc etc., ie nothing wasted!1 -

Now when it is Summer I have reviewed my skin care regime.
Crikey! I don't think I must be a proper girly-type woman because I don't even have a "skin-care regime" winter or summer. I often slap a bit of cheapo pound-shop liquid moisturiser on but that's about it. Which is just as well as I don't have spare spendies for serums and whatnot. *Must-be-a-bloke-alert* I don't even know what a serum is or what it's supposed to be doing. Which could explain why I look so ruddy haggard most of the time.....0 -
Olive oil is my preferred method of cleansing etc. Just that and warm water on a facecloth. Cheap and effective and I have younger looking skin than most of my friends
Cleared up my adult acne a treat too.0
