To avoid wasting money on postage when buying clothing online always select the lightest colour option of the item for viewing. You can see much more detail.'Yaze whit yeh hive an ye'll niver wahnt'

At the moment I really need to squeeze every penny as far as it will possibly go (got made redundant and so far there doesn't seem to be any good news on the horizon
).
I piled on weight in my last job (comfort eating), when I think how much money I wasted I could cheerfully kick myself.....anyhow.....
Talking to OH he wanted to join the gym, I said no from the point of view the cost of the membership but also the cost of petrol to get there!
So I got empty juice bottles and filled them with water to start using as weights. If/when I want to increase the weight I'll fill them with gravel from my drive and weigh them so I know what they actually weigh. I also used an old piece of washing line as a skipping rope (I seem to remember my Dad doing the same thing so I could have a skipping rope as a small child).
SS suggested press ups using the worktop in the kitchen, stand about 12 -18 inches away from your worktop and put your hands on the edge of the worktop. Lean towards the worktop keeping your feet flat on the floor. Repeat in reps of 5 or 10. You can also do this in reverse (your back to the worktop) but you need to be a bit closer. This exercise works the backs of your arms..... banishing those bingo wings.
But the best exercise has been running up and down the stairs, I'm slowly starting to lose the weight.....now I just need a job.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J0 -
Does anyone grow herbs? I do and with the warmer weather they have really sprouted. So I've given them a bit of a haircut and I'm drying them on a baking tray in the airing cupboard and will fill empty jars and put nice labels on them and give them for gifts for birthdays and christmas.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Apologies if this has already been "done" - but I used to spend loads on products to rehydrate and soften hard skin on my feet/heels.
A good rub with vaseline after showers and before going to bed (I also sometimes put on when at home, cover with socks and crocs-type footwear) does the job much better than any of the products I tried.I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

I was searching for skipping and found your post, not the type of skipping I wanted to talk about.
I wanted to talk about liberating waste food from supermarket skips.
Last night I got a box of 15 eggs sell by date 4th June, a few were broken so the box was mucky thats why it was thrown out. I also got loads of fruit and veg, still ok to eat.
Anyone got any tips about skipping in Yorkshire?0 -
JohnyBM, you might get a better response with a specific thread on the England section or the OS section. I think there's another term for what you're referring to but (and I know I've heard it) I can't remember it at the moment.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. I have cheated in the past when I wanted a specific colour of nail varnish. I was given an eyeshadow colour palette a good number of years ago, this had more colours than the rainbow. I used to paint my nail with clear nail varnish and wait about 30 seconds for it to go tacky then sprinkle on some of the powder over my nail and wait for the nail to dry, spray the nail with a tiny burst of hairspray (I found the cheaper the better) let that dry and then a top coat in clear. You can come up with some weird and wonderful colours and effects doing this and its a great way to save the pennies when you have a fashion conscious teen girl in the house. Its also a great way to use up old eyeshadow.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera.
