I have Gas Central Heating and have to heat the water before a shower etc. I used to have the timer set to come on twice a day but I NEVER used all the hot water.
So now I keep an old mobile phone in the airing cupboard and when I go in there to turn the hot water on I set a timer on the phone so it rings when the time's up and the water's hot. 10mins is plenty for a shower and some washing-up after. I never forget about it now and I'm looking forward to getting my gas bill to see how much I've saved1 -

Try hardware stores, Wilkinsons, Semi-Chem, Local Chemists (the larger ones). What used to be our old 'More' store they stock it. Do you have anything like that near you?CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Try Home Bargains or Yorkshire Trading Company if you have them near you.

Here's a tip which we aircraft modellers use that you can also use to stop brasses ect getting tarnished.Simply dip the brass ect in Johnsons Kleer (Future) floor polish & place on a old newspaper & leave to dry over night. The floor polish will cure & seal the metal, preventing oxidisation (rust)1
