My concern with that is thar if there's a power cut we might not be able to make calls, our signal can be iffy. I love the idea though, we get 20 spam calls for every real one!Married 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.

DH bought home 4 x 750g packs of chicken reduced down to £1.50 each and three quarter priced gammon joints.
One pack of chicken I cooked today as a curry, whilst cooking tonight's dinner plus a quarter priced gammon that will be sliced for sandwiches and gammon, egg and chips dinners and frozen. (Maximising my oven being on) . Another pack I split up into smaller portions and labelled as stir fry and the last two packs, I bagged up in larger quantities to turn into 'Nandi' style chicken or 'hunters' chicken. This way we will get more servings out of the chicken. Most of the curry will also be frozen. I like to have some homemade emergency ready cooked meals in the freezer. I have steak and kidney puddings, lamb curry, chilli-con-carne, lasagna, other left over lamb waiting to be turned into a pie. It stops the need for expensive ready meals and take-always when I am too tired to cook or for DH when I am away helping / caring for my Mum. Plus it doesn't have added sugar or 'non-foods' to make it last longer.2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

Does anyone only eat food that is in season? Does that make a difference to the purse strings?2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

Does anyone only eat food that is in season? Does that make a difference to the purse strings? This morning I did have one of my favourite seasonal treats for breakfast - a plate of home grown sun ripened cooked fried tomatoess. I can only indulge in this treat for a precious few weeks of the year. I can hardly bear to eat a winter ourchased supermarket tomsto these days I,m sure one,s taste buds learn to become more differentiating over a period of time.10 -
Primrose, I agree that your taste buds change. After growing our own sweetcorn we can no longer eat corn on the cobs from the shop or veg stall. They taste revolting. Also, as you say about tomatoes - the ones that we pick are much sweeter and packed with more flavour.2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

I have a set limit of how much I'm willing to pay for fruit (€4/kg or 50cents per portion), veg (€3.50/kg) and meat (€ 11/kg). This means I buy fruit and veg that is cheap at that time, and that usually means it's seasonal. Not always; for instance: a large pineapple (€2) is 8 to 10 portions, and so is way cheaper than apples and pears at €4/kg (which is around 80 cents per apple/pear). I'm in Belgium, which is apple-and-pear country!

I subscribe to a couple of monthly magazines by post & occasionally need tiny envelopes for storing our own saved veg or flower seeds.I find thst by carefully cutting, up, folding and sellotaping wide strips cut from such A4 size envelopes I can make lots of little free seed storage packets. By folding the paper with any printing on the inside, there,s plenty of room for writing the seed name on the outside of the pack.12
