I use uht to make yogurt so always have some in. Don't like the taste of it in tea and coffee. We usually keep a pint of milk in the freezer.4

Hi Peeps,
one of my savings is my hair colour. I do have a separate bottle to mix product and have short hair, I can get 4 colours from one bottle
I use my shreddied wheat paper wrappers and stuff them into a toilet roll for a fire lighter. I also save the rubber bands that are dropped by the postie or are wrapped my post and those that come off spring onions (yes ys sm bought).

We also save the elastic bands from the spring onions. Put them around our reading glasses arms - helps to stop your glasses from slipping.2Scratters said:Hi Peeps,

Took a train today. Got off the previous stop ( only two minutes on the train between the stops). Saved 65p each way, saved me having to change trains plus I got an extra 0.5 mile walk in each way.2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

Re the dried milk - I always take my tea with dried milk much prefer it to bottled which makes the tea too creamy for my taste. Use bottled for everything else though but have made up dried milk with water to use in cooking and has worked fine.6

Re UHT milk, never buy the full-cream or semi-skimmed versions. It's the cream that gives these milks their funny taste. Skimmed UHT Milk tastes "cooked", like fresh milk that has been scalded and allowed to cool, but doesn't have that funny taste.

I always have the Aldi skimmed. Rarely the 50p morrisons one. Aldi is the closest match to 'real' milk I think.PipneyJane said:Re UHT milk, never buy the full-cream or semi-skimmed versions. I have written our Christmas cards ( yes, I know that there is still two months to go). Saw two friends at the weekend, gave them their cards - £1.30 saved. Hoping to save a small fortune in postage. 😁2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

Now is the time (if you don’t already) to put a flask next to your kettle/cafetière to keep your extra tea and coffee.6

With two months to go before Christmas and many of our Christmas card contacts in the "elderly" age group classification with various medical afflictions, I wouldn,t dare risk being that well prepared. Last Christmas found us sadly having to make several adjustments or deletions to our regular mailing list.Gem-gem said
