Then when you have another pair with a hole in, again cut off the holy leg. Wear as a pair, and in the winter, you have that extra bit of heat round your bum!
My sister and I absolutely did this every week when we were younger.
Also when our mum had a ladder in her tights we used to cut the legs off, have one each with a tennis ball in the bottom and stand back to a wall, swing it from side to side, bouncing it off the wall and under our legs etc.
Outside for hours. No computers just plain old fresh air. :T

Soda crystals mixed into your washing powder. Half and half mix works amazingly well for me. Off course I put less in the machine than recommended too and still my laundry comes out spick and span.
Vinegar instead of fabric conditioner is a given too. Of course.0 -
I use white vinegar in the dishwasher instead of rinse aid, cheaper but just as effective. One life - your life - live it!0

These products are so versatile, soda crystals we use to keep the ubends clear, good for cleaning where it is fatty or greasy as well as doing the laundry. We use cheap standard malt vinegar (brown) in both the washing machine and dishwasher and on our chips. Both vinegar and soda crystals are very cheap and easy to get hold of.
To keep the costs down further we buy our laundry detergent and dishwasher detergent in bulk from the wholesalers.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

On the last day of term before the holidays we have a luncheon provided for us at work, at a cost of $15. I decided not to have it and bring my own usual stuff from home, for the cost of home made sandwiches and a piece of fruit. Et voila, $15 saved and also no giving in to peer pressure!Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

I remember being told off at primary school as between all the girlls happily playing this game, we had managed to knock half the pointing out of the school wall. :eek:0 -
You know how you mistakenly stick a stamp on a wrong envelope and want to remove it. Years ago you could soak it off and re-use. Not the same now as they are stuck on with adhesive. PO do this is incase you get one of those envelopes that haven't been franked and heaven forbid you try to remove the stamp to use again. This of course is unlawful !!
However, should you need to remove your stamp, here is how to do it. Cut round the stamp leaving an edge all round, put paper with stamp attached face down on a worktop, then coat the paper the stamp is attached to with hand cleansing gel. Give a little rub, turn paper over and voila, you just peel the stamp away, all in one piece.1 -

We used old socks when they had gone past the point of darning. Reading your comment reminded me of the fun we had doing this, there used to be a rush out of the door at playtime to bag the best bit of wall-happy days!1
