I have never refrigerated my peanut butter. I find that if I make it in 400 gram batches it will last well enough in a cupboard for a couple of weeks. It never lasts as long as that as it is all eaten. It's really easy to default to cynicism these days, since you are almost always certain to be right.0

OH always puts 'bought' PB in fridge as per instructions.
Marketers encourage you to put things that are shelf stable (e.g. tomato sauce) in the fridge as fridge items are percieved as going off sooner, so must be used faster!0 -

We have Aldi tomato sauce and keep it in the cupboard with no problems, in fact the only condiments we keep in the fridge are mayonnaise, garlic mayonnaise, tarte sauce. Sauces like HP, soy, wostershire & spreads like jam, honey, mustard and pickles like onions and gherkin are all kept in the cupboard with out detriment.happydays89 wrote: »I keep tomato sauce in the fridge because if it's warm it starts to ferment, the Aldi one does anyway.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Now, whilst I'm aware that this is hardly going to save you a fortune, I worked out today that I can get at the whipped cream on the inside of the whisk using a teaspoon handle as the spatula is too big. How rock and roll am I:D

Personally I prefer using my tongue. The whipped cream does avoid a lot of hanging around on top of cakes etc. Now, whilst I'm aware that this is hardly going to save you a fortune, I worked out today that I can get at the whipped cream on the inside of the whisk using a teaspoon handle as the spatula is too big. Yes that is my plan, in fact I usually take the whisk off the machine completely though the idea of using a teaspoon handle is just as dangerous. If you are using an electric whisk, make sure its turned off before you try.
