Yes Ikea or HandM both sell cheap fleece at times.Great opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us every day. -- Sally Koch0

Another brilliant way to keep melanzana warm this winter!
I have a creamy coloured fleece blanket, so when I make it into a poncho, and put on the cream fleece pyjama bottoms with the elasticated ends, I will look like the abominable Mexican snowman!
God help anyone who calls to my door and sees me like this. because I would never think to doff the poncho at least before answering the door, Doh!!0 -

Wow that is one mega thread. Read all 4 years worth since yesterday! So many great tips.
One I found recently is, the cheapest bag of salad leaves you can buy is between £1 & £1.50 at the moment but you can buy a round lettuce loose for 60p that provides a similar amount once chopped up.
I keep my eyes peeled for items people have put out to 'the street' & take them home. In the last month I have found : a pair of converse that I sold on ebay for £15, a lovely wicker basket like a picnic basket with 5 throws in different colours, all beautifully soft, & a cushion with a cool London skyline print. And a duvet cover. All were washed before use of course.
I also found a girls world type head with make up & brush, all in a sealed shop box left outside on the pavement. Brought it home where it's been well played with.
In the past I've found other items of furniture, dvds & books. So if you live in a big city where people can't be bothered to go to a charity shop keep your eyes peeled!" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

This might not be penny saving, but however.
You know when you buy a pack of scented tealights, and they smell gorgeous and so on.
then you light one or two and the rest are left sitting there opened losing their aroma bit by bit.
Well, I put the unused ones in a ziplock bag, seal it up, and when they come out they are fresh as a daisy!
But maybe you do this already, I didn't and it's a revelation to me doh!!
I keep my scented candles stored upside down as the oils in them tend to sit at the bottom of the candlemum "e" to the most perfect girl :Awho stood by me through it all nana to my beautiful grandson WLM 27.09.13:j

This is actually something I never thought off. Where I live here in Copenhagen, Denmark, almost every wednesday people put these stuffs out on the street and after 2PM the garbage men come and pick it up. I see good stuff all the time and could bring it home (50m from where I live) and sell some of it on eBay. Thanks for the tip! ;o)"Sealed Pot Challenge" Member No. 938

You are most welcome. I saw 1 converse left out today. If I find a one legged person hopping about on the other one I will know why. :rotfl:" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

I laughed and Husband shouted "YES". She is always on the computer.
