No bedding is ironed here or night clothes. Tea towels.
I have changed all my tea towels/dish clothes and some bath towels to microfibre. No ironing and they dry a lot quicker.
Quick dry towels is brilliant in winter when washing is hung around our home indoors. The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)0 -
Ah but think of the savings GA & I'm sure you will find them a very acceptable alternative - the thing that bugs me is the price of a box of tissues WHY do they cost so much compared to toilet rolls?? Its paper after all.
I rarely run out of boxes of tissues but did the other week and I just tore up a few lengths of loo roll and put it in the old box. It was just for me to use in the bedroom - I'm a sneezer! I might continue to do that for that box. I know GQ uses cotton hankies - I thinking of experimenting with those too.0 -
I don't iron anything! I just buy stuff that doesn't need ironing. I also buy clothes without buttons so I don't have to do any sewing.:o
I read the other day that if your pillows have gone flat you can put them in the tumble dryer with a couple of tennis balls to make them fluffy again? I haven't tried it yet.HOUSE MOVE FUND £16,000/ £19,000

If you ever have access to a veg market stall, ask the stallholder for all the surplus cauliflower leaves and stalks they often discard before putting them on sale . For anybody sensitive about lookng like scrounging, say they're "for the rabbits, or for your compost heap! ":rotfl: They are wonderful for chopping up finely for soups and stir fries, and can also be mixed in with other vegetables and covered with a cheesy sauce to make a filling tasty meal.0 -
Bake your own cakes
I often put x2 in the oven at the same time as our dinner = saves on electric. The second cake is for giving away. Sharing is caring.
