If you enter actual annual kwh figures the monthly DD payment should be at a realistic level, I think it's where people enter monthly payments that problems occur because the monthly payment may bear no relation to actual current useage.0

KevandKeira, 6800kwH of electricity pa is not horrendously high - I use ~ 7000 units - its surprising how much power you can get thru' with a couple of TVs, PCs and a washing m/c!!0

If I stay with duel fuel then eon is coming out cheapest for me.
If I go with different providers then its ovo for gas & npower for electric, only a saving of £3.00 against duel fuel.
Does my old supplier have to be paid up to date before I switch?? My next quarterly bill is due in June, so do I switch then or anytime.
Edit: just realised I can get clubcard points for eon too, bonus.
I may be wrong but I don't think that OVO allow gas only, it must be dual fuel or electricity only.0 -

I always considered our electric use to be normal for a family of 5, apart from using the tumble dryer too much (garden being dug up so cant hang washing). But when I done the comparison on moneysupermaket it asked me to double check my electric kwh, as it was high.
According to http://www.simplyswitch.com/energy/switchingguide/averageenergyuse.aspx our gas usage is good, 18000 (average is 25000), electric is 6800 (average is 5500) so could be better. But hopefully when the garden is finished & I can use the washing line this should hopefully drop.0
