Blue Badge Problem - Help!

Even though it says unless you are trvelling with them
Yes! Practically and morally, there was no need for you to be parked in that space, apart from your husband being lazy..
It makes me mad, people (quite rightly) moan about non-blue badge users parking in disabled bays, but what your husband has done is just as bad (if not worse, as he is taking advantage of the fact that his wife has been given a blue badge, and should know better than most the implications of taking up a disabled bay unnecessarily and illegitimately!).0 -
It's funny, but there have been many times when husband has popped into the chemist/shop etc to pick up things for me and traffic wardens have walked by and not batted an eyelid. I think I must have just encountered a little 'Hilter' today. Anyway, I'm sure this is a minor incident and hopefully will be judged so.Me transmitte sursum, caledoni0

Many people misuse badges (I've heard of a guy who uses his nans badge to park when he's at work) and these are the serious offenders.
Typical attitude of someone who abuses the system to suit them!
Why do you see fit to put your husband on a pedestal above this other inconsiderate motorist?
If a genuine blue badge holder needed a disabled space and it was being used illegitimately, it would cause them just as much inconvenience regardless of whether the person parked there was this guy using his grandmother's badge, or your husband using yours because he can't be bothered to walk to Blockbuster!Thank you so much for your concern!!!!! I) thought there were meant to be helpful people on here.
If your definition of helpful is agreeing with you and reassuring you that you did nothing wrong, then I'm afraid I'm not. I think the warden was quite right.0 -

Please don't try to imply that I am being unsympathetic to people with disabilities. Quite the opposite, I am annoyed by able bodied people like your husband, abusing the system and subsequently denying provisions to those who genuinely need them.:cool:0 -
so after you had parked you started getting spasms and were unable to get out of the car so your husband did it for you, sounds reasonable to me, what did they expect you to do, stumble across the road and cause an accident? the blue badge entitles you to park legally and for free in a disabled bay, so long as you are in the vehicle when it is being used and it is displayed correctly i wouldnt worry, and unless the traffic warden knew who's picture was on the back of the badge how did he know it wasn't your husbands badge anyway?, my wife will often come to pick me up from the town and when she parks she displays my badge, thats what its for, so i dont have to walk so far from the shops to my car, but she would never use it unless she is picking me up, sounds like the traffic warden was being a tad over zealous0

What is your problem? I can't understand why you're having a go. What is hard to understand about the quote
Do not allow other people to use your badge to do something on your behalf such as shopping or collecting something for you, unless you are travelling with them.
