Hi
After agreeing to stay with BT for a year, I was offered £36 credit to my account. Today I got my on-line bill, it doesn't show any credit.
Anyone else who took this offer, have they recieved their credits yet.

Just called BT and got this deal. Thanks OP!!!!!!!!!!
The CS rep said if my next bill is due very soon it may already be getting processed so the £36 credit may not show til the subsequent one.0 -
Just to inform you, I emailed BT asking about the credit, They emailed back with this response.
"I am really sorry that the credit for £36 has not been refunded yet. I have refunded this today for you"
So I have been informed it has been refunded and my account is in credit.

Hmmmm. I called this morning and got hung up on twice!!! Just after saying I would like to see what my options were and what BT could offer for me to stay with them, the operator said I'll just put you through, and then.....nothing!!! The dead tone.
I spent too much time on this already today. Anyone else experienced the same?
Where did I go wrong?0 -
I did not have a good experience either - have posted in the cheap phone lines thread about it. To me it seemed like they were quite happy to let me go when I asked what the options were. Like I wrote they did not connect me to retentions and were happily telling me how to go about switching from them!!! I just might do that.0

Try calling BT retentions direct on 0800 800 030 opt 1 (ignore the mac code voice prompt)0 -
I wanted to have the reduced line rental to £8.54 per month which was available. It was withdrawn when I did not want to change over my phone calls to BT.
Has anyone managed to change the line rental to £8.54 with BT and retain the calls with Primus for example?0 -
After several calls to BT when no one put me on to Retentions, I finally opted for Cancel Service today and that is when I was offered the £8.54 per month for staying on. I was not asked anything about my calls and it was I who told them that I would like to bring my calls back to them from Sky as I chose Any Time plan for an additional £3.99.
Leblanc, I am not sure and please do check this but if your rental is with BT you will anyway be in a plan - I don't think there is a product with no plan - you will be in some standard weekend free plan even though your calls go through someone else. At least I was. So, all that you have to do is tell them you are planning to cancel your line rental. I was offered the £8.54 before any discussion about calls. But go to Cancel Service directly.0
