I typed in a message and sent it when the other person was not on Skype.
She has not read it yet, and I do not want her to.
I regret what I wrote.
I have just uninstalled Skype.
Does that mean when she next goes onto Skype, I will not be on her list of contacts, and she will not be able to see what I wrote.
Thanks

nope, afraid not. your account still exists so you will still be on her list of contacts. however, offline messages are only seen when both of you are online so since you won't be online soon then there is a possibility that she won't see what you wrote. Thats what i've gathered from my past experiences anyway.0

No I don't think so.
It is showing up in her message box as unread.
When she goes on Skype, I think she will see what I have written.
I do not want her to see.
Is there nothing I can do?
I thought uninstalling Skype would have done it.0 -

How did you work that out / who told you that ? When you post a letter or leave voice mail on a recorder, it will still be there - even if you change address.
Never reply to email when drunk or late at night, you may regret it later.
What to do ?? You know her Skype name, can you guess her password ?? Go and read/delete it.0 -
No I don't know her password.
That is what happened - drink.
I have been sending emails today to Skype, and they have said she will read what I wrote no matter what I do.
I never thought of Skype as posting a letter or voice mail.
This was a written message, and I was hoping there was some way I could get out of Skype before she reads it.
But she is going to read it.0 -
If you still have her details send her another message.Explain that you had been drinking and was feeling low.0

I did say sorry, but I think what I wrote will finish it.0

Take some flowers/chocs and while she is looking for a vase, if her pc is on, start skype and delete the email.
Or say your skype account has been hacked and someone is sending malicious emails in your name.0 -
I started this thread almost 2 years ago.
I see now if you write a message on Skype, you can amend or delete it.
Is this a new thing?
I wish I could have done that when I posted this thread.0 -
What was the outcome then? Did the person read your message? Hope everything got sorted out and all fine nowThere's no place like home

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.
Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.0 -
I didn't notice it was an old thread.
Come on tell us, did she bin-bag you ?Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.
