    Hi peeps.

I wanted to make at least one post a day since my 'reappearance', on Friday night, but I was too knackered to post yesterday.

Still in training for our coast to coast cycle challenge (now have a definite date of September 24 to September 26th), and I did a 100 miler from Manchester to Ladybower lake in Derbyshire.

I overdid it a little. Those bloody hills are steep (great for going down, a killer for coming back up).

I still can't feel my butt, and it feels like angry wasps are attacking my nipples. But i'm quite impressed with 100 miles though.

    Good evening,

GP: I meant to ask about your cycling earlier so glad to hear you are still doing it. 100 miles - crikey

About this dog - no, she is not going to be mine :( don't want to go to any details but just to say that I will be praying patience in dealing with idiot people  dog was lovely and was giving me kisses but hey ho - not meant to be

I so wanted a drink when I went to shop after we were back so bought some appletizer (sp?). Will have a glass after DD has gone to bed. I am shattered as we left at half eight this morning and only got back at six pm. What a waste of time and diesel. Only good thing about this trip was the company as BF came with me.

Fay, thanks for your message,:A I tried to reply to your pm but your message box is full.

I have been lurking on and off but it's good to be back.:)

Sorry about the dog Marru. What a shame.

I have not been putting my £1 a day away either  so I will have to give up that challenge of the £365 in 365 days too.

Well since I'm organising this Coast to Coast ride in September I feel really responsible (and stressed) that it all goes according to plan, safely, smoothly, etc. I want to be as fit as I possibly can and not to look like I'm struggling, and I want to try and set the bar for the others so that they also get themselves out there training too.

I have a bad feeling that there are one or two of the group who think a couple of miles of commuting to work by bike each day is going to be enough in terms of training and the fact is, it isnt'.

The first leg of the course is relatively easy (me and a pal tried it out two weeks ago). It's coastal, very flat, well paved etc:

The next two legs, going across country, is going to be an absolute *&*&£*&$*!!!

Except for 1 girl, the team is made up of lads. It's the only language they understand and I need to impress on them how hard it's going to be.

I may even have to use more than one expletive to get through to them!!!!

Seriously though, I did 50 miles there, and 20 miles into the return journey I hit a hill that just wouldnt give up. Everytime I saw the brow of the hill and I thought I was getting there, it turned out to be a false horizon...the road just bent around and you were presented with another hill. It's not just the physical fatigure, it's the crushing of your spirit when you think you're at the top and you realise you're not. And then hit happens three times in a row... HHhahaahhaaha.

I was almost on the phone to the missus asking her to come and pick me up. I had to use some seious Jedi training to get me to the top.

Couldn't even promise myself a beer at the end of it.

I'm worried that if I don't impress on the team how hard undulating terrain can be on you, then someone is going to unprepared and end up stranding the rest of the team out on a lonely road up in the hills after sunset. And thats when the monsters come out.

    Just popping in before bedtime.

Marru honey sorry about the dog, I know you must be gutted but as you say not meant to be. I could not think of a more caring home than the one you would provide. Well done on not drinking though I can see your will power was sorely tempted. I am sure the dog knew of your good intentions, hence the kisses. xxxx Hugs (()) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Oh and before I go.

I have been meaning to say for awhile now, I have been a money saving stalwart for goodness knows how long. I mean what does a girl have to do to get another star around here?

    No smutty replies please :p
