Sim, can only echo the suggestions that have already been made. Sometimes it's so easy to get sucked right in to yourself you can't see the wood for the trees. The turning point is knowing it's happening.
Jo, had a few coils go myself ! Garage wanted £250 to replace and fit. Found a full set on ebay for £55 and DH did it.
Budgie - I can honestly say I have never been on a treadmill, the thought totally scares me ! But enjoy it....
AF yesterday, and as usual a full nights sleep.DC.

AF yesterday, and as usual a full nights sleep.
Morning DC,
He reckons the coil will be anything from £30 - £60 and that's all he'll charge :money:
Treadmills are a danger to the human race, I would recommend you stay well away Budgie, you may break out in a sweat  I went on one once, where I used to work up in London they had a little gym in the complex and a couple of girls used to go there at lunchtime, I used to accompany them as there was a little TV in there and they watched Neighbours whilst working out  thought I'd have a quick go on the treadmill...never again, once it got going I couldn't get off  (it's nothing like the Berocca ad I tell you ). Only joking Budge, you will be super fit in no time
DC, congrats on the full nights sleep and the AF'ness
I had a full nights sleep but was not AF and haven't been for a while now, fed up, Fay has given me a swift kick up the 'aris already this morning so plans are in place for an AF evening.
The fact that I have no car could take the AF factor either way....I also have no washing machine and a TON of washing. I will now have to drag 2 kids and 2 suitcases (1 adult one and DS's small one) down the road to the bus stop to get to the laundrette. (I reckon the neighbours are gonna think I'm leaving OH :rotfl:). Then I have to leave said washing at mums and go shopping on bus and try to fit shopping in with the washing in suitcase and drag it back on bus home. OH can't help today as he's been roped in to work and so is DD1. Ah nevermind, it takes me back to when I only had DD1 and she was small, I thought nothing of jumping on a bus with my washing, shopping, small baby and a buggy....it's amazing how used to having a car you get and how you take it for granted! And so as I say, AF'ness could go either way here...I could either have a very stressful day that drives me to drink, or as I have no car it might be impossible to buy any without being caught out.
So I might be on here a lot later and if it's as quiet as it has been recently then I might fill a few pagesDFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -
Hi Jo,
Thanks for the gym story, it has made me smile
I have gotta say though your planned duvet day this weekend is most definitely not taking place. I feel for you, shopping, washing, kids what a combination
Still if there is a girl that can multi task then that is you
Big hugs mate and hang in there, you will soon be drawing your better salary and a washing machine I think must be at the top of the list. Btw the car sounds a reasonable price to fix, well done on finding this mechanic, well its taken you 18yrsBut hey, like everything we get there in the end.
Take care and keep smiling mate

Oh, I honestly never believed I get one of them! I have had 2 quite nice lay ins though, so all I need to do is get my stuff sorted for tomorrow and get organised. Right off to pack my suitcase :rotfl:

Helloooo there!
So sorry I've not been on for a few days - just not had time to get on line! I've been a busy bee!
Also pleased to report that I've been very good and AF since I last posted, so I did do the Monday - Thursday challenge for last week, but didn't have time to report on my progress.
I've caught up with the threads now and I am feeling positive for another AF week.
I even went to a fancy dress party last night and drove AND collected/dropped off 3 friends, so I drank 2 lemonades and a glass of water all evening. RESULT!
Sim - your posts are so honest and open, you appear to be someone who is able to share and voice how you are feeling, good or bad. AA meetings are the perfect place to share and vent. If you do go to an AA meeting today or any time for that matter, I wish you the best of luck and I hope it goes well and you get something out of it. This on line group is wonderful and we are here for you and many of us are on a similar journey to you and we identify with your struggle and feelings of desperation. Hugs :grouphug:. xxxxx
Have a super day everyone,
Hugs

Afternoon all.
2 more AF days for me so that's 7 for me WBF.
Hi Budgie - you do sound much brighter. The main thing to remember about treadmills and all exercise equipment for that matter, is that you have to use themThat's the hard bit. Mind you, assembling them comes a close second. I have assembled a couple of exercise bikes and found them to be excellent clothes hangers. DS's project is ongoing. Coincidentally, it is a weight stand for his gym (aka garage).
Hi Jo - good luck with the buses. I have every sympathy. Just recently done 3 weeks hand washing while no machine. The mechanic round the corner is a bit of a find though.
Sim - I've seen some great replies to your posts and I can't do any better. Best of luck.
My "slight" cold has turned into something flu-like. I need some tea and
sympathySneezing, headache, horrible chesty cough, pains in ribs from coughing, red eyes, swollen eyelids, sore throat and even a mouth ulcer! Feeling a bit sorry for myself as have hardly moved for 24 hours! Lost my sense of smell/taste and lemsip and coffee taste the same. Was thinking of a hot toddy tonight but not if it tastes like water.
Heading back to veg on the settee again.
Hope you are all having a good Sunday.

Cazza nice to see you posting sweetheart and well done staying af :T You sound in a much better frame of mind, take care and hugs (()) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Budgie has just popped back before the football, quite a dilema really Chelsea v Stoke........................... (You get the idea)
Anyways I was going to go out for Sunday lunch with Mr Budgie, but I have stayed in instead. I have been using up some supplies. So I have just had a very nice Veggie shepherds pie, (with a shepherds pie base frozen for another day). I have also batch cooked some carrot and swede mash and frozen that. (Well those carrots were looking a bit ropey). Also blanched and frozen my butternut squash. So pleased that I have not wasted anything.
I lurk from time to time on Oldstyle, its very addictive you know. But I have picked up some tips which have come in handy. I just need now to cut down on my grocery spend and I will be happy. (Well I do have my treadmill to pay for, though I have just discovered the Body-tek rider. It looks quite cool and resembles horse riding?
Does anyone have any experience of these riders? Its quite enlightening what you can purchase these days.
Anyway enough from me off to, do a bit more.
Take care and enjoy the rest of your Sunday.
