I don't want to drag the mood down but think it's important I write this down somewhere :o

As some of you know, I don't always have the sunniest of dispositions in relation to myself. I haven't been great recently so while I was in the bath (no Roxy Music here :p) I tried to think of things that I like about myself. I was only going on the physical, as that's what I'm beating myself up about a lot right now, & I could only think 3 :(

I don't think that's a healthy state of mind to be in

Sorry to be a bit depressing, I just need to face up to it & this helps :)

Well I have never met you in real life but from what you write on MSE personality wise you seem very friendly, intelligent, caring and funny :) (funny haha, not funny strange!:o)

Have you ever thought about trying Cognitive Behavioural Therapy or something? Maybe it might make you see yourself differently.

Hi Honeybear, I've bet you've loads of good things going for you but I know its hard to see them when you're feeling down. Try looking at yourself as if you were your best friend, and then think of the good things they would see about you.

Just from being on here I can see that you are kind, funny and articulate - so thats a few to get you started.

Cheer up hun, you've kept me company on here for the last couple of days, thats a really nice thing to do.
This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
    Fingers crossed x

Well done Jo - it works you see :D let's see you take another step tomorrow for day 2. No really, really really well done x

    My fave :D

Anyway I'm off to update the challenge list- who else is brave and truthful enough to declare an AF Bank Holiday?

    Thank you, sweetie :)

I have done CBT stuff in the past & I probably need to revisit it. I think I do ok with myself personality wise (ish!) but I have a terribly negative body image & seemingly quite messy ways of thinking about it. Shall have to deal with it somehow as It's clearly not a good way to be!

    ps.am funny strange too :p

Sparkles and DB I can honestly declare that its another Merry AFD for me today and I'm feeling much better about it then this time yesterday.

All thanks to the kindness and welcome you've shown me here I've almost done 6 days in total now and saved about £30 which is amazing for me.

    Cheers everyone x
