(((hugs))) Jo, you sound so so fed up - I don't know what to say except I feel for you being in such a hard place.

I was AF last night - Dh was drinking a glass of wine and offered but I declined and later then felt tempted but had a cup of tea instead.

Raining here too - it's rubbish. Have a good Sunday

I've just been told off by an assistant in Mr T's for not collecting my change quick enough on one of the self-service tills!

I'd suggest controlling your environment where you can if you want to cut down. If others complain that you're not doing as expected, say you're changing for the better. You can't please everyone and I will never drink to fit in with someone else's plans. !

I've turned down 4 drinks in just under 3 years. If I'd had to turn drinks down every day I don't know what would have happened.

    I dread to think.

It made me smile the last time I did it because the aftermath, if I had the one would have been a REAL need to have loads more and it really wan't the time or the place.

    Know your enemy!

My best chance of staying happy is being with happy people and my best chance of staying sober is not spending too much time with drinkers.

I won't avoid them but I have to be a bit more careful as you never know....

    take care all.

Honeybear - I hope you gave them some grief. We pay enough for the groceries without them knocking us when we try and save their staff by doing the till ourself too.

Rain not reached 'up north' yet but can feel it in the air, dh has just finished planting some pots that we got yesterday, the kids planted carrots, tomatoes and green beans too....we shall see if they ever turn into anything real as they keep wanting to touch them!

I feel rubbish too today, didn't drink as much as a usual sat night, thinking its because I havn't had a drink since Sunday so it 'gets' me a bit quicker iykwim...don't know why but I am just soo tired all the time at the minute...

    onwards eh!!!

Jo, If you can manage to turn it around and have a good day today you just know how much better you will feel tomorrow and in turn this will make tomorrow easier to continue...you know it makes sense :D however I know how hard it can be, I will be at a family do tonight, am driving so I can't have much there, but might end up getting home and thinking s** it it is bank holiday after all even though right now I am full of determination to not drink at all today :o

Miss P, Hopefully at least now you won't have to pretend to the in law any more and can just be yourself hun...hugs x

Have kids bugging me now to eat chocolate etc etc...lots of noise arrgghhh

    will catch you all later
