Morning all! Well another night with booze last night...deffo none tonight & I SO WANT to acheive my 15 day AF target this month!!! Also I get very depressed/down when I drink & it worries G/F...so GONNA START TODAY!
Brokepaulo-glad its all making more sense now....don't forget there is a waiting list at the courts so I'd be inclined to check what this is & book it NOW-you can laways cancel....I think you don't pay the fees until later but I could be wrong...anyways worth checking with your local county court the time scale. Your friend is correct-add in as much as you can so that 'on paper' theres less than £100 a month left-thats why I mentioned making full use (& finding out the maximum figures the receiver allows-see my link from yesterday for what I put down)..don't forget things like satelite tv/gym membership are not classed as 'essential' so hide these in other figures (!!!)...Agree the changing your own habits bit IS HARD re: spending...but just think-new flat..job etc...it's all good...maximum 1 year-if clear cut you may get an early discharge (this is never guaranteed but very possible) as soon as SIX months...so in ONE YEAR max it'll all be sorted!
Sim....obviously on forums people will disagree on stuff & I don't mean to be blunt here but why the obsession with the money shop loan? Why let your G/F waste her money? What makes this debt more important than the others?? NOTHING. Also yes you are right if the A&L a/c is not a creditor then it does not have to be listed...BUT if you are bankrupt A&L may well pick it up on a credit search (many banks are permanently linked to the credit reference agencies & anything like BR may well be picked up on very soon)...also forget having a cheque guarantee card/standard debit card/overdraft-once the bank finds out these will be gone. Its not the receiver that closes the banks-its the banks decision. I had to bring all my bank cards etc to the receivers office....certainly if you have a guarantee card the receiver will want that if ytou've been using payday loans etc...
You mention it's a 'proper' bank a/c? The only difference with the co-op bank you have is no cheque book/overdraft facility...SO WHAT??!
I think the hassle factor of keeping it & them probably finding out is too much stress... but to be sure as Simon on the oher forum-he'll know 100% what will happen!
Am SO GLAD that you & brokepaulo are a lot clearer on things & again sorry if I sound blunt....(!)
RIGHT-really need to start the AF bandwagon rolling....might go for a jog at my 'urge' time....really bad-not been to the gym for 5 weeks!!!0 -
Mmmm, Burger King, I love Aberdeen Angus ones too. Yum!
Dotstar, welcome back and congratulations on the new arrival! Well done on deciding to nip things in the bud, and good luck for next week.
Kevin, good luck with your moderation plan!
I'm feeling sooo much better today than yesterday. What a bad thing hangovers are. I will try and come on after work during bell time to get myself to stay strong. Sunshine and Fridays are a bad combo!!
Hope you're all having a good day! I never thought I'd say this but I miss Shaggy's corny pictures to start us off each day - hope you're having a good holiday Shaggy doo!!0 -
Today's_Metro wrote:THE number of alcoholics in England has increased by a quarter amid
‘woefully inadequate’ support to help them quit drinking, according to
a new report. The number of drinkers either moderately or severely
dependent on alcohol now stands at 1.6million after a rise of 24 per cent
between 2000 and 2007, Alcohol Concern said. And the burden to taxpayers
could soon hit almost £4billion without urgent action, it added.

Go down to section 31.7.19 & read-on...very interesting...the aim is of course to get below £100 disposable income 'on paper'...;)...dental treatment....dry cleaning of your chefs whites...(!)...I'm sure you get my drift!

No 2 please Sparkles.
I have decided to stop my job search and stay put for at least another year. BF might not be happy when I break the news when I see him next time but I really need to get myself sorted before I can consider us moving together. Off to make an action plan to my diary - ciao..."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."
