Morning all!
:bdaycake:Happy birthday NRA!!! Hope you are ok this morning. Lots of ((hugs))
((hugs)) to you SSG....
Fay - hope your are feeling a bit better today
Marru - you have to do what you think is right. Coming from the other side though (obviously OH's kids live with thier Mum) I would just say maybe your daughter would like to see her Daddy on Fathers day? However, if its not thier usual day to see each other then its not a huge thing. I'm not judging or anything, I know how emotionally tiring these things can be. (feeling very  about making comment on this one but hope you know I mean well!)
Up early today. Tried sneaking downstairs at 6.30 for a coffee but Piglet heard me and got up at same time (insert the absent "rolls eyes" smilie). Probably just as well as am on call for taxi service this morning. Both Mum and Nan have appointments at the hospital about thier respective skin cancers today. Within 1/4 of an hour of each other too! (unusually accomodating of our NHS trust!:D). Nans is for a check up on how her creams working but Mum may need to have hers lanced etc. So I may have to go and fetch Nan and take her home. We shall have to make sure we are dressed in time!:rotfl:
At the risk of being flippant, this morning I went in fridge for milk, and spied my nacho stuff (salsa, sour cream etc - I ahd them sunday night)......and my stomach actually turned over! This bug better not have put me off of them !!

Don't apologise to anyone.
We are not the drinking police (even though I can come across like that sometimes)
Life gets me down sometime. And it isn't fair all the time either.
But I have the choice whether to get on with it, or to wallow in self-pity. I do both. But I know that self-pity is self-abuse, so I try not to stay in that frame of mind for too long (if I can)
The other thing I know is that alcohol rarely made me feel any better in those situations.
I have had to change myself, and how I act and react to situations that I don't like. That has meant that I have the means to not stay in such a negative state for too long. Easier said than done.
Though if I can change, so can anyone!!0 -

Thank You for your concern. I'm going to go with her, to the hospital and make sure she's ok
I'm ok thanks. Keep replaying last week's stupidity over and over though, and all the money I spent on booze..which doesn't help.
Probably my bonkers, addictive mindset!
How you doing?
Sim x
When I feel like that, I try to take action to insure that the chance of that happening again is lowered. Then I have less to beat myself up about.
I make bad decisions when drinking (and sometimes not drinking) so at least if I don't drink I am less likely to make bad decisions.
I can do something everyday to walk away from alcohol. By not addressing it, I am not taking responsibility. However, no-one can do it for me. I have to put the action in.0 -

You have summed up my life:T
I used to thinking drinking was the problem.
And other people.
However, all along it was me that was the problem.
I can change me - I cannot change other people.
However much I wanted to change, nothing happened until I really started doing something radical about changing myself.0 -
