Sim as Graeme says there is no good in worrying about things that are out of your control.

I am the same and have had to re-align the way I think about things. I am forever worried about what if I lose my house, What if this happens or that happens and before I know it the good times are now and they are slipping by before I realise that they have gone i.e the kids grow up so quick and they will be adults before I know it. Cbeebies is a distant memory and now I have to endure "Zack and Cody" and the "Wizards of Waverly Place". I suppose that is a long winded way to say things that are out of our control are not worth fretting over as the outcome is not down to us.

As for being convicted, speaking as a BR who thought they would be locked up, that is not going to happen so soldier on and well done for being sober

Talking of which 12 Please Miss P :D

    Many Thanks ym.

It's the fraudulent action I took, which scares the bejesus out of me.

However, as you say there's no point in worrying about things out of your control.

    Hope your BR went well.

I'm thinking a DRO is the best way forward, and will discuss this with the CAB next week.

    Evening Sim

As GC, YM and TP1 say just try not to worry, wait and see what happens.

I am a worrier too but as one of my colleagues says, "you worry you die, you don't worry you still die" which puts things into perspective.

Personally i don't think you will get done for fraud, and next to that a bit more on top of your debt hardly matters, just wait and see.

If this woman does not help for whatever reason she'll tell you where to go to get help somewhere else.

At the end of the day you're not a bad person and that's what counts.

Why be angry with yourself, you just had a little slip.

If one of your best friends told you your story you would have a lot more sympathy for yourself, and understanding, but people tend to be harder on themselves than other people.

    If that makes sense lol.

Take care and let us know how you go X

    SSG

    Hiya SSG,

    Good day?

Thanks for your kind, and sensible words :)

My friend told me yesterday, that she has to go into hospital, as she's "found a lump"..

This certainly put things into perspective.

Sounds good to me Tree ;)

It does seem Jo that you have alot to cope with, the bags are weighing you down, this is the case in your normal day to day life, you are juggling many things all at once. Getting lost is perhaps not knowing which way to turn, ie to move forward, you say you are always unable to find a seat? This could be that you are searching out where you fit in? I do not read dreams but they do interest me, Dreams are supposed to be trying to give us a message, ie your subconcious self knows what you need/should do?

The upshot is you do juggle work/family/your Mum etc, in fact lots of things, you do such a great job and you are so hardworking. But perhaps it is now time to look at what you want/need out of your life. Obviously easier said than done, but small steps always help. Hugs Matey and do take care, think about having some me time yourself, drinking could just be the me time you crave, I don't know and I am probably not making a whole lot of sense, but be honest with yourself and the answers will come. You know I think you are totally fab and Budgie does worry about you :A (()) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Tree hope the work is going ok? Try and not get stressed, just think how brill your new kitchen and bathroom will be? I mean you can swank over to flylady with everything gleaming, shiney and new ;) Hey they will all want one ;) Hugs (()) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Fay sorry you have a cold too, hope it doesn't turn into a full blown bug, take care and look after yourself. (()) xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Sim its a nightmare for you, but if you stay sober you can move forward with this, I know its really hard, but well done on trying to sort it all out. Keep with it mate, things will get better. Hugs (())xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Hi all

Great to see so many of you doing so well. Hope poorly people are feeling a little better-take it easy.

SIM-although all seems a bit bleak now try not to worry too much. I went BR a few years ago and found myself drinking to blot out what I saw as an impossible problem- needless to say drinking any spare cash I had and burying my head in the sand didn't help at all. And all the worry did not change the outcome- I went BR, the world didn't stop, I can't get any credit so I can't get into debt again/borrow money which is a good thing for me. I'm not being flippant about this-just to say a lot of people in this country are in your position/have been in your position and there is ALWAYS a solution, even if its not a particularly pleasant one.

BP........sounds like there could be trouble ahead!!! On the plus side, she may 'know' your ex and therefore be more understanding about why you parted...I love my best freind but her sister is a bloody nightmare who I wouldn't wish on anybody.

Hope everyone has a great day

    Eselt

    Hi eselt,

Great to hear things have improved, since your BR.

    I'm seriously considering a DRO / BR.

However, I went BR in January 2003 - discharged January 2005 (which is why I can't believe I've got myself in a mess a second time, which doesn't lessen the self - loathing..)

Obviously, this then adds to my worry of the possibility of being 'done' for fraud / a 'BRO' :o

Thanks for the reminder re the state of the nation too. Booze / debt has made me rather self - indulgent at the best / worst of times!

As you rightly say, there is ALWAYS a solution :T

    Cheers,

  • Morning Jo, Lurky, Eselt, everyone.

Just popping in because I finally had an AFD last night. Miss P can you count me one for June even if I don't want a target?

Trying to get back on the WW bandwagon too. I'm planning another yummy early night and another AFD. I feel really tired after burning the candle at both ends and the middle last week so I need to regroup and be lazy.

Hope everyone is doing well on here. Have a great day.

Well done WBF hope you are having a great day X

    Morning!

Yesterday I got a phonecall from J, she was asking me what I would like to do when we meet this weekend because she wants to go for a bike ride. It just so happens that I'm doing an 18 mile bike ride on sunday so I told her this and it turns out she's doing it as well, so that's cool. Then afterwards we're going for a pizza at lunchtime and to watch the Italy vs New Zealand game.

so that's all well and good.

I was about to say good bye when she said 'hang on' and confessed to me that she'd got a phonecall from my ex's sister who had noticed I'd become friends with her.

    oh dear...

but no, on the contrary, it turns out my ex's sister had very nice things to say about me and merely mentioned 'well, he went out with my sis but she pretty much scared him off with her usual craziness. hope you have a good time together and don't worry, I won't tell my sister, I barely speak to her these days anyway'.

I told her that I had noticed in some of her photos she was with my ex's sister and it came as a bit of a surprise but these things happen, especially in Bristol, and anyway, that was all in the past and I just want to look forward to a nice bike ride and afternoon with her. she said she did too.

so that's pretty good, I had feared for the worst but maybe I was just reading too much into things, as usual.

    Good for you BP

Hope it all goes well for you :)

    Enjoy your weekend

    SSG
