Hi, We got ours for under £400 for both, we pick palladium as we both working in a hospital and it can cope with the alcohol gel on it. We got them from here:

We were really impressed by the level of service we recieved from these guys. they even offered to re-plate my engagement ring for free, even though I'd got it from somewhere else so it'd be 'shiney' on the 'day'! Met them at a wedding fair and were so impressed we actually drove for an hour to go to the shop!!
:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:

I cant recommend Betts Metal Sales enough! If you create an account (select 'hobbies' as your trade) you'll get trade prices. They supply many a high street shop, based in Birmingham and have brilliant customer service!
(Lots of folks on here have used them - do a search!)

Hiya, why do you have to get them online??

We bought ours from an independent local jewellers in town, not the usual overpriced fraser hart and h samuels, he actually worked out far cheaper and he has hand made my 18ct white gold custom shaped band to go with my ER ring for £500 and my H2B is having a 9ct yellow gold heavy thick band for £210.

My advice would be to visit a couple of local small independent jewellers in your area, bit more of a personal touch I think! Its nicer to visit and make a special occasion out of it! :)

We both went with Palladium last year. My ring was £96 and DH's was £240. We got ours from Neweys in Birminghams jewellery quarter.

I know it's not online, but shaved a huge cost from our budget

I second this, we are going to get our wedding rings from our local jewellers, they have loads of beautiful rings at I think a fraction of the price, you should go and have a browse, no harming in trying a few on :)

We're getting ours from Samara James, they are really reasonable, and it will cost about 900 for two platinum rings.

I am buying mine from Chapelle. They are a jewelry outlet (no second hand) and they have several branches through the UK. They also have an online shop, though. I bought from there several times, hassle free and no problems. I am looking at a 18 carat yellow gold ring with 5 diamonds 1/3 carat (33 points) at an amazing £395. I think they also give diamond certificates over £300. Genuine, I think they just buy to wholesalers what is left from previous season, but to be honest from one year to another there is no difference whatsoever. If you want to see this specifically one, go to their website (a google search will bring it up) and search for code 18-03-0391 . There are many others, cheapest diamond ring at their shop at the moment is a 18carat yellow gold half eternity ring 10 point carat, at £225. In some things they have not got a lot of choices (like wedding rings for men or platinum rings), but in other ones you have plenty to choose from. It is certainly worth a visit. I went in the last weeks to Beaverbrook, H Samuel, Ernest Jones, Fraser Hart and other local shops... and I think the one I like the most is the one at Chapelle, which turns out to be also within budget... I wonder if my brain knows that we are in crisis and it is directing me to some of the cheapest ones lol I am also a bit overexcited thinking I am buying it this week lol

    Good luck anyway!

I bought from chapelle, I really enjoyed the experience and the customer service from them, I had looked online but didn't like their stock, it was only when I went shopping I went in without relaising it was the same place as the website.
I've ended up buying what I want for much less than I had expected, I picked about 4 rings to try on, I wasn't rushed or pushed but the girl gave her opinion when asked to help me pick something I am really pleased with
