Sending AVI as email attachment

Took 5 mins footage on digital camera and trying to send it by email but either (a) takes forever, or (b) says "not responding" on send/receive. Anyone give me any idea how I do this?.

Hi guys, tried compressing it and sending (147MB) but no luck. Tried going into mediafire's website but doesn't go anywhere unless I register and I just want more spam if I do. Any other suggestions? Ta.

If you don't want to use free hosting then you're going to have to burn it to a disk and snail mail it.

Simple as that I'm afraid, unless of course you want to break it up into roughly 20 parts and email each of those individually.

You could use a video sharing site like YouTube. Videos can be set to private so only people you approve can view them. However, this would require you and anyone you want to view to sign up for an account.

or, if you have a (free) Windows Live account you can use the SkyDrive.

    Fair enough!

I think I'll save it to a pendrive. There's about half a dozen segments of 5 mins (son's band!) and it's less hassle. Thanks all advice.

For future reference, most emails have a 10Mb limit (Which your WAAAAAY over)
others (like gmail), have 20Mb (Both email systems need to be on the 20 Mb limit though)
