Sky Basic 1 mix and then having sky sports 1 or espn when my team is playing?

Hi

Going to be getting my first house soon.

Been looking at Sky and was hoping to get the basic package of 1 mix.

Then when the football season is on and my team Blackburn are on sky sports 1 or ESPN just to sign up for that month.

I'm sure this is possible and believe Sky Sports 1 is £9 extra and ESPN £12.

Am I right in assuming I have to keep the channel for one month min before I can cancel it again?

I am pretty sure you can only do that with ESPN. Sky Sports has a minimum contract length (possibly even 12 months).

Happy to be corrected though.

Mind you - I didn't know you could subscribe to individual sports channels now (rather than all of them in a bundle) so what do I know £9pm for SS1 doesn't sound too bad - I think they put all (or at least 95%) of their Premier League football on that channel but I think the Champions League stuff goes on SS2.

AdamBrunt is correct, you have to sign up for Sky Sports for 12 months.

ESPN is (or rather was ... I haven't had ESPN since Christmas) just 1 month.

I thought with minimum contracts with sky you got a 30 day cooling off period to see if you wanted it for 12 months. So you could sign up and simply cancel after Blackburn had played or on day 29.
