Barratt - fitted tank back to front - any comeback?

From your description you have an unvented cylinder that has been shoehorned into a cupboard so that some of the connections are inaccessible. So it's not really 'back to front' as it can be fitted in any orientation.
Someone needs to swing a spanner to replace the TPR, (temperature &pressure relief valve.)
I doubt you will have any comeback after 10 years.
Do any of your neighbours have any solutions to this as they must have the same set up.
GSR.
I'm going to speak to the neighbours but I reckon they could have the same problem.
I can see what the plumber is on about though. all the pipework emerges from behind the tank and theres zero space to do anything because of the three walls of the airing cupboard.
I guess they've got to drain it, cut the pipes, turn it round, re-do all the pipework etc, refill it.
I have written to Barratt to complain so we'll see what they say at least.0 -
A pal of mine moved into a 5 year old house last year. It is one of about 20 in a development. The plumbers had put the service/isolation valve for the downstairs toilet in such a position that he had to dismantle the loo to get at it....Not directly Barratts fault, just the muppetts they sub the work out to. Most don't give a t**s how they fit things as unlike most of us, new build will have a different team for repairs.
Muppets indeed.
No offence intended to good plumbers.

Looks like I'm not the only one. I dont think you offended good plumbers because I dont think the house builders employ good plumbers only cheap ones !!!0
