What are the rules for LHA for live in carers.

It is not quite that extreme:
In order to qualify for the higher rate you will need to show that-
you need frequent help from someone else in connection with your bodily functions during both the day and the night
or
that you need supervision from someone else during both the day and night in order to prevent danger to yourself or others
You will also recieve the higher rate if you need help with bodily functions during the day and supervision during the night or vice versa
In order to obtain the middle rate you need to show that you require help or supervision either during the day or during the night
Yes, OK - thanks for the lesson - but in simplistic terms what I said is right - it's either day or night or both!
As I receive HRC and Mobility in an idefinate award since 2005, I do think I know what I am talking about.0 -
Are you expecting your DLA award to change after the renewal? If it stays the same then why should anything else change? If your DLA award is not re-newed or you receive LRC then I would imagine you would not be able to claim the need for a live-in carer.0

Happy to educate and correct incorrect advice/information, you are quite welcome.
Clearly you do not know what you are talking about however high your award is, you have demonstrated this in your previous post.0 -

That's what I'd 'imagine' as well, but I'm still hoping for someone who 'knows'.
As somebody else commented you are quite rude, this remark is patronising by using inverted commas (I can imagine you doing it in the air with your fingers).:(
However, you still have not answered whether you have any reason to expect that your award will be lowered (it comes across as if you expect it to be). If your care needs are less than they were and you now qualify for a lower (or no) award you do not need a carer, so why would you need one living in?0 -
