Tenant wants to call a plumber

So its an old combi boiler and the tenants don't understand that if they increase the demand, the flow decreases? Are they moaning because the pressure or temperature changes when someone's in the shower and someone else tries to do the washing up at the same time?0

Well, it's not quite that cut and dried, if it was simply that then I would say bad luck.
It may be a small timing issue in the boiler, so... potentially could be fixed by a plumber, but he could also say it's nothing, its just how this not-quite-top-of-the-range boiler works.
Anyway, I think I will chat to them and see if perhaps they aren't doing the fix right, and hopefully all will be ok!
Thanks for your help everyone.

The tenants might have the kind of job that necessitates showering more regularly than usual, or heavy use of the washing machine for daily uniforms or something. Either way, if the boiler is not standard it would have been fairer to mention this before they moved in.
I would quickly get annoyed with any sort of "it works fine as long as you turn the tap to x degrees for x minutes while the moon is in its third quarter" nonsense.
Remind your tenants to report any faults in writing and that you won't pay for any workmen they call out themselves. It is surely worth getting someone to sort the problem out once and for all, it may have deteriorated since you lived there. They are an EYESORES!!!!0 -
I have got the PM thanks.
Erm tricky - the problem only exists some of the time - and is the same as an electric shower imo (although that does it all year round)
If you've explained it to them - then tell them if they're not happy they can get your approved plumber out at their expense.0
