Personally, I, too, have been screwed by Lloyd's charges.

But it looks like there's nothing we can do. The bank refuses to budge and sits proudly behind the 2009 ruling, which it quoted to me in a letter in large red letters.
Yes they are quite smug at the moment but they didn't get a declaration on UTCCR 1999, Regulation 5(1) which they lost and did not appeal.
I really think we have to suck it up. OH and leave Lloyds forever.

Never give up cos the fat lady has retaken her seat cos it's not over whatsoever.

the way i got lloyds to deal with my complaint was as follows:

phoned (but writing would probably be as good or better) office of helen weir, consumer bankcing managing director. was ultra polite thorughout. conceded that i was at fault as were lloyds, but that i felt more could have been done to help.
emphasised hardship and indicated specifics, ie transactions taking me overdrawn were for fuel almost 100% of the time, so not luxury spending but an essential expense to get to work. they investigated how my dlaim was dealt with by hardhsip team and agreed more could and should have been done. refund made as gesture of goodwill. in all took 1 week. i was persisitent but maintained 100% calm and polite manner throughout. i dont want to give the name/number of pa i dealt with because i dont want him swamped, but write to lloyds head office fao of helen weir and i am sure you will get help. be persistent, know your incoming/outgoing and specific details of what caused charges, be ultra polite and you should succeed as i did

Well, Govan Law Centre case coming up June 2010, legal beagles will publish legal opinion from Anthony Scrivener QC(which I have seen a copy of) which is not saying its over so it's not over whatsoever. I will return to these points soon.

ok. so based on the info you have, what likelihood in percentage terms do you think things could change? is it a realistic chance or a pipedream?

When you see me losing all hope then we can start moving onto pipedreams but unfortunately I haven't.......came close a few times though, lol!!
