Morning everyone!
We had a good night here:j Settled Holly in her moses basket at about 8pm where she stayed asleep until just after 11pm when she woke for a feed. She then went back in her basket instead of our bed and stayed asleep until 5am when she came into our bed for another feed and a cuddle. Lets hope it continues!
We've got my mum coming up to stay with us for a week today so that I'm not straight on my own when DH goes back to work on weds. Looking forward to seeing her but also know that by the end of the week I'll be looking forward to the space! It's the silly things like being able to stretch out on the sofa in the evening!
To add to the grandparent name debate- my mum is Nanny, DH's parents are Grandma and Grandpa and my Dad and Stepmum are Nanny and Grandad.0 -
Hmmm I haven't been to baby group in eons and for the first time in a while, I'm all showered and clean at the right time...now can I be bothered to hike down there? Decisions decisions.top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

Ah bliss - the big two are back to school.

I'm enjoying a cuppa or two and have had a shower in peace.
Happy Anniversary Aless.
Grandparents (and great Grandmother) are all Nanny followed by their names. So Nanny Ann(y), Nanny Shirley, Nanny Dot, Grandads are Grumpy Grandad
, Grandad Tommy & Grandad police.
But that's just what they're called at home, they're just Nanny and Grandad when we're with them, (except Grumpy Grandad who gets his full title). :rotfl::beer:0 -
Alice probably has whooping cough - not asthma. Unfortunately it could last another couple of months and there's nothing they can do about it. The sleep disturbance is worse than having a newborn (or at least worse than Alice ever was).Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

Oh Susan, poor Alice (and you obv!). Thats not great news. I remember when I was a child my sisters friend had it and had to be shaken about upside down alot during coughing fits!0 -
Aw susan I remember my little sis having whooping cough when she was a baby/toddler, me and my 2 sisters all shared a room and she had to be moved back into parents room temporarily cos she was keeping us up coughing so much, it did last a good while too
hope she feels better soon.
Hope everyones ok?
Jake is on his 2nd week of half term now! I've no money so unless the weather perks up it's gonna b a long week!! Taking em pixifoto today, cba to b honest... The free pic always looks the same am bored of it now, might tell em that lol,
have a good day everyone xx0 -
Poor Alice.

I haven't heard of anyone with whooping cough for years. Even if there is no instant cure, is there nothing that can help her (and you) through the months it takes for it to go?:beer:0 -
Susan - whooping cough can't be nice for any of you but better than asthma long term. xxx
On the subject of climbing I caught Benjamin yesterday climbing onto his toybox under the window in the living room and trying to go from there to the windowsill and the open window :eek:tbh If i wasn't a lazy bum consumer that bought honey in the supermarket and I got local stuff I wouldn't have waited until he was 1, IIRC the research is a flawed/a bit knee jerk on the subject.
Flawed / Knee Jerk research in this country???? NEVER!!!
Next you will be telling me that 'they' make things up

Hi Musogirl, Is H about 6 weeks now? 6 weeks was about the turning point for us...I think it took us all that long to settle down.
Someone told me when Benjamin was teeny tiny that things change every 6 weeks or so and that still keeps me going now...for instance the stroppiness we have at the moment I think 'in 6 weeks time he will be totally different again'
When we pulled into the CM's drive this morning Benjamin started shouting and clapping and was generally very excited to be there. Poor mummy is deep-down very happy that he loves it at the CM but he could make a bit of an effort to pretend he was gonna miss me
please listen to MFD - she is a wise woman

:( Poor Alice (and poor you!). I hope she feels better...not sure if your DH is working at the moment or not, but can he help look after her during the day a little bit so you can get some naps? top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne
