Any one got any tips or advice for expressing? Tried the avent manual pump again yesterday, last time I used it I got more of the milk down me than in the bottle, this time nothing was happening! Anyhoo I managed to hand express 1oz and only took about 4 min but made me a lil sore. Today tried again and was only getting a dribble so have give up for the mo and will try later.

I've got a tt ctn manual pump, I can't see that they could be much difference between the two and I find that sitting on the edge of the settee leaning slightly forward helps. I do sometimes wonder if I'd have been better off getting an electric one but then I've probably only used it about 20 times.

EA - bit late but HAPPY WEDDING DAY! What a bloomin lovely day for it too!

Can I gloat??? Well am going to anyway - when I got pregnant I was 11+stone and a good size 14, the scales are now into single figures (just) and I am wearing size 10 trousers today! I love breastfeeding! Meeting up with some old college friends later and chuffed that I feel good about my weight for the first time in years and years and years.

Som those shoe's sound lovely, maybe BB lurk on here so we should all be offered something decent soon :) With the expressing I find I get more by hand now too but if I go too close to the nipple then it gets very sore. It's quite a bit further back you need to be sqeezing and then it should be pain free and more productive.

EA will be Mrs V now  I hope their having a lovely day.

Not too sure what's planned for today as OH came home at 8am  I knew they'd booked an apart-hotel in town as there were quite a few people going out who are up from London and that way they all have somewhere to go after the club that isn't disturbing anyones house but I thought he'd have been home earlier than 8. No doubt he'll be asleep or feeling rough all day now :(

The ugliest lelli-kelli unicorn vomit shoes have just been on the tv, they don't even look pretty! And  at the price of them!

Hope everyone else is having a lovely weekend and babbas are all well (and mummies 3 :)) x

I do this... which is why DD5 who is 5.5 was only ever seen twice by the HV.. once at about 10 days and again at about 1 month... can't be bothered with their flapping.. if there is something wrong you take them to the doctor. there is nothing the HV can do you cannot self refer to or need the GP to do!.. waste of time and a person IME.

Re funerals.. we FINALLY have my uncles sorted for next friday.. another uncle wants a karaoke.. which is just fabulous! It WILL be raucous knowing my family.. most things are!

Sounds great Jillie. How much freezer space do you have? Tesco party food is currently on offer and a £10 off voucher is floating around :)

    Shpes are fab.

I find hand expressing much much easier, quicker and more productive. Also gets easier the more I do it. I agree with trying it a little further back.

Always yey for feeling good :)
