See I do want a bit of traditional sitting down at pretty tables with close friends and family, I just CBA with a big formal meal, and the hotel said we had to pay extra if we wanted the meal served to the tables cos they wanted to servie it as a buffet which I couldnt see working? How am I meant to fill my plate with food when I have a big dress on? Which is why I thought a nice afternoon tea type thing might work instead! And it should be cheaper too. Just need to find a venue that will let us do it, we were going with the Holiday Inn but they wont let us have a BBQ. Barstards!

Oh, Tara, I had a look at the cupcakes and I'm going to order some for my sister's 40th. They look fabulous!!

How are you going to display yours?

    PS: Very excited for you!

    GET IN!!!!

    I beat Bruno at Lexulous!!!

    Has made my day!!!

I am happy that I can make you happy ;) :A
Can I ask the ones with older babies - at what point would you start buying baby their own meal when you go out to eat?

We order E something extra about half the time, feed him from our plates about half the time. The something extra is sometimes just a side, if we get a 'kids menu' option a lot usually goes to waste.

I was at a nice restaurant last week in Cornwall, they had a children's option of lamb cutlets that night! Surprising.

How big's Rhysy? Sooo big! :D

Yaaaay Rhys :D gorgeous video :) I will respond with my own new one that I am very pleased with :p

On travel systems - we got one and used the car seat aspect quite a bit in the first 6 months or so, very convenient. The stroller aspect wasn't that great though. I think if we did it again we might not bother but I don't really regret it :) he was a bad sleeper so being able to carry him inside still sleeping really helped us get extra half hours here and there.

I got an acrylic stand from ebay, and DD1 is making a chocolate cake for the top. I wanted mini ones as people are full up by that point, and we also have a Christening and Birthday cake.

Our wedding was at 4pm with close family and friends at the castle on a Thurs. Formal meal followed and everyone stayed overnight. We then had a local 'evening do' on the Sat for everyone else with the usual buffet/disco.

It cut off the end of my post and now wont let me edit it? I dont like this new MSE, its very bug-gy :(

I said I love the cupcakes, we're having those too :D are you having them delivered to the venue or to you first? I saw a awesome tip on the weddings board about nicking the Elmlea cream cardboard trays from the supermarket and using them to transport them, apparantly they are the perfect size! :money:

Ladies am after some recomendations the first for a good baby massage oil as we start our first class on Thursday. The second for baby leg warmers, T is sleeping in her sleeping bag and a long sleeve vest and I thought they would be cute for when she comes out of the bag and to wear with dresses, plus they'll be handy when she gets around to crawling.

I got these very cute :)

Nice video Bruno, looks like you had great weather. X

We have to collect the cakes from M&S, 72 for £32. OH is near there on the Friday anyway, the friends he's got staying from Holland are collecting a bike while they are here so OH is going with him the day before the wedding. Didn't cross his mind that we might have other things on that day!!!!!!!

Sorry, I realise my multiquoting there awoke MFD posts that were days old :p just catching up a bit. We got back from Cornwall on Thursday night. A good time was had by all, but I must say the 'child friendly, mini-complex' self-catering cottages in Dorset were basically less trouble than the lovely, chic, cool B&B in Cornwall with the lovely landlords.

The cottages meant we had space, privacy, and facilities around the site (about a dozen cottages, a swimming pool, games room, large garden, play area with trampoline and wendy house, ponies...) and didn't have to worry about really anything that E did. Whereas the B&B was a lovely old creaky waterfront house with incredible views out over the Cornish coast, all done up in very cool style with loads of personal touches, but there wasn't much space and there were other guests using the stairs past the bedroom etc. Elijah absolutely loved the sea and the pebbles and throwing the pebbles into the sea and pointing at the sea and talking about the sea, though :)

I sunburned the backs of my legs!
