Really busy today today, my mum announced she is coming to visit tomorrow, oh that's today now :o ! So I've been busy cleaning and just got the hallway and kitchen left to do and a bit of ironing if the clothes are dry in time (got till 5pm). Erin wasn't too helpful, she kept trying to follow me into the bathroom when I was cleaning there but she can't crawl yet so just kept getting stuck and crying *rolling eyes*

    Good morning ladies,

Evie is sitting up on her own unsupported!!!! Only for about 15-20 seconds at a time but I think thats pretty good :j:j

Can't remember if I mentioned it but my sister was diagnosed with kidney failure in October last year and has been on dialysis daily since then. Anyway, my mum donated her kidney to her on Tuesday. Both ops went well and so far they're both doing really well. Still wait and see for my sis as she's on critical list for a week cos of possibility of rejection but so far so good. And if she's still ok after a week, then they seem to think its unlikely to be rejected :T

Anyway, off back to catch up a bit now...

Sitting up is the best :D, sitting good, crawling bad!

My aunty had kidney failure when she was 20 and they said even with a transplant she wouldn't last long, she's going to be 60 next year! Well done your mum for donating one, it's no easy operation and it'll take them a few months to recover fully. My sister had a kidney taken out but was fit enough to run the London marathon a year later :D My aunty had a kidney that lasted ages but unfortunately that's failed now so she's back on dialysis which is a pain as she has to do it in hospital three days a week but even after several failed transplants and one really successful one she is still going strong. Hope your sis does just as well.

Beenie, put the prams down and step away from the ebay!!

Glad Mr T(ia) is home ok, at surprise parental visits!

I just got a message from a friend of mine. Her son is 4 and has been referred to a speech therapist because he doesn't speak. He understands, and he'll make gestures, but he doesn't say anything. Except that they ran into a school friend of his at the busstop, and the friend is a recent immigrant from China who doesn't speak any English. My friend's son was fluently chatting with this kid, in Mandarin.

    Children are inexplicable :rotfl:

    SS that's amazing!

All good here. We have had 2 nights sleeping through in a row now. Hoping it will now be a regular thing as had done it on 3 separate occasions previously :)

Seems to be a lot of the cold going around, hope everyone is better soon

    Still nothing here either...

Anyone ever used one of the pop up travel cots - samsonite or similar, thinking of getting one for caravan hols on IOW as William will be too small for bed still and wont be much room in caravan?

    Hi Maz

We use the little life one which looks similar - it's fine, i found it a faff to put up, but that's because hubby does these things better than me. (it's like a mini tent, not sure if samsonite is the same) H was 5 months old and there was plenty of room in there. Packs down small which is a bonus.

Twice as many pox spots here this morning, but lovely thing didn't wake once at night to moan about it. Shame she's so poorly, she has togo to MIL this am as I have to go to hospital for scan and now blood test to check I'm immune. Just know she'll chuck a mental when we leave her, poor thing.

I AM GOING TO KILL ME A CAT!!!!!!!

I just trod on poo as I was putting Finn down for his nap. Squish. FRESH. Now all squashed into his cute giraffe rug by my bare feet.:mad::mad::mad:

Has anyone seen the end of Lost and can tell me what happened? I only ever watched 1 episode cos it just seemed ridiculous but I am curious to know whether my guess at the ending after watching that episode was correct. (Maybe whited out tho in case anyone is still to watch it)
