Jam, the first few nights you choose to stop feeding in the night are definitely the hardest and the babies take longer to settle... It can take just 3 or 4 nights before they get the idea and as long as you're consistent they start to settle a lot quicker... In theory...

I've had both sides of the coin... Aimee was a nightmare sleeper, took hours to settle when she woke in the night, would wake relentlessly every couple of hours...

Caitlyn was a dream... 3 nights of no feeds before 5am and she cut down her night wakings pretty much straight away... Now goes into her cot awake and settles really easily with a cup of water if she does disturb in the night... The 4am wakenings are our downfall at the minute and I've stopped feeding her when she wakes up (mostly because she wasn't going back to sleep anyway but also because I wanted to stop all dependant feeds well in advance of this baby coming) it's made no difference to her waking up which leads me to believe it's the heat and the light mornings and it will sort itself out in time...

Take what you will from that...

    Or ignore me completely...

    I don't mind ;)

Elle, I would lower the base a notch or two... If he had a mind to !!!! his leg up, he'd be over there in no time...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

His family are cancelling one by one, I've said it will show who really cares by who actually shows up. His Auntie has had a fall so not her fault at all poor lady. :( But his Mum wants him to tell them all now, she said I've told people, but mine are all coming and don't know. She is now coming with his brother, who is going early evening. And SIL is working until 2pm so there is no way they will be on time. So he will have NO family there at the start! He has arranged her another lift, she says no!
