Dropped Jack off but he wasn't happy. He didn't want to go in the cage at the vets and it took a few goes to get him in. Me and one of the vet nurses had to shove him in. He looked really bewildered and sad when I left, but he'd had a sedative and they said he would drop off to sleep within a few minutes. Got to ring after 2pm and they'll let me know how he is doing and what time I can collect him.

Bob is doing my head in. Got home just after 11am, and he's been following me round the house and just looking at me with big sad eyes - awww!
Here I go again on my own....

I didn't sleep particularly well either night ;)...the bed was very uncomfortable :( I had less sleep than I do at home. Although I didn't get out of bed until a very respectable 9.30am.

Was very wonderful to only have each other to please all day yesterday. We had breakfast, went for a drive in the country, went for a swim, went out for lunch and to watch the match, out for an early dinner and back to the hotel to hob-nob with the stars!

I couldn't believe that there were footballers in our hotel!! Both Zola and Peter Taylor (ex England manager) were very lovely and took a few minutes to chat to us.

Have been back to pick up an old post....

Weezl - I know it has only been 10 days and it was suggested that 4-8 weeks 'practice' was needed but I wondered how you and Fergie were getting on?

    xx
    Hello MFD,

Thanks loads for thinking of us :)

DH and I have been trying all those strategies, and have modified/changed a few as I've been doing extra reading on the subject (can say more about that if anyone would like?)

Still the same number of words from Fergie, 'daddy' 'yeah' and 'no'.

These still aren't being used with the right thing/concept :(

But I know his comprehension is good. I have been watching what he understands now and I think it's possibly slightly higher than I thought.

I've also realised he has a really good memory for songs/tunes.

If I 'lah' the tune that one of his toys make, or his singing thomas book, he goes straight to that toy and brings it over.

He understands things like 'where's the ball/book/beatle/car etc'

and if I say: 'awwww kessie sad. Shall we give him his dummy?' he'll go and find kessies dummy and attempt to insert it into kessies mouth, usually sideways.

Is any of this sounding good/promising?

Lots of love to you and the gingerman, and to all my parent club friends.

SS can you do the penultimate weekend in Aug at the IWM?

    Hugs for caz and buttons

Gentle hugs for kristal, and how is mel doing?

  • Weezl - that sounds much better than what I remember of what you said before (IYKWIM!). His comprehension sounds good - which I would guess means that the words will come in time. I thought you were saying that he didn't know the words for things before. If he recognises the words but can't say them then I wouldn't worry about that.

One day he will just spit out a sentence and from that moment you will never shut him up!!

Does he babble at all? Or is he just quite quiet? Benjamin never shuts up and waffles on in baby talk all the time - he was bound to hit on some words sooner or later - god only knows where he gets his motor-mouth from ;):D

Weezl, that sounds great. Chris didn't even try. He never even pointed.

Forgot what else I was going to say...

noticed on FB that your stairs are done :)

Are they truly rude or just a little saucy?
