They didn't cover that, it's a series about fatherhood and the program just went on about how wonderful dads are (but did cover some interesting facts) - I know some dads on here obviously didn't get the memo!Mum to DD born Oct 2009

Oh my god!!!!!!!! I'm watching the last episode of House that I sky +ed a couple of weeks ago and they just cut a girl's leg off with no pain relief
p.s. I know it's not real, but it freaked me out0 -
I can give you a summary from what I remember:
When men become dads their hormone levels change so they are more nurturing (missed what causes the change though). This prevents them being too aggressive with their babies. After a while the levels return to normal and they provide more rough and tumble play and also a greater vocabulary which pushes children to test their limits and learn more. They also are better disciplinarians because they set rules. eg. rather than saying, 'I would like you to do this,' or using emotional reasons which women do more, men just say do this because I say so. Then girls who have had a good relationship with their fathers are more likely to marry someone who looks like their father.Mum to DD born Oct 2009

Hubby has texted to say he has just made the last train by seconds but he is bursting for the loo and there is no toilet on the train! Stupid man. It's an hour journey and then a 10 minute walk.
Oh well, at least I know he is on his way so I won't need to pick him up! Off to bed to read my book now.
Night everyone.

ooh, was he the single dad? They had a single dad on who was really good. They said single dads are good at having fixed routines and making everyday tasks fun leading to confident, independent children.Mum to DD born Oct 2009
