eta: Anyone got any good fathers day present ideas? I'm stuck - we're trying not to buy 'stuff' i.e. mugs etc, as we don't want to move house with any more than we already have. I can't think of anything 'dad' related to get him :/

Something edible? Thorntons have Dad stuff in.

Is he watching the football? You could make him a match kit with beer, nuts, sweets etc., in.

Busy day today as I've got a load of uni work to do get through.

Sun is shining again though - yay :j That's probably because I bought a lightweight waterproof jacket on Sunday for bootcamp :D
Here I go again on my own....

    Morning all

Gym, Guy isn't chubby-big though, just long and in proportion. He's going t be tall like you and Alfie will be a short !!!!! like me!

Not sure about father's day present, I'm still undecided what to get DH

I'm happy with the sun this morning too, much better.

So DH gets in from work at 4am and I wake up as he gets in to bed, 10 minutes later Alfie wakes up so I go feed him and 30ish mins later get back into bed. DH is amazingly still awake so I get in and give him a cuddle, and he says "I've been thinking about you for 40 minutes" I'm sory but it's just not happenning at almost 5am, I feel like a zombie and I need to get back to sleep!!!!!

Holly got daddy Super Mario Galaxy 2, but she couldn't wait until the weekend and gave it to him last night! She is also getting him some socks as he needs some and I figure it's an indication of presents in years to come! And she has a book for him to read to her called "What Colour Are Your Knickers?" as we thought that would appeal to him! We bought a "Daddy" book for his birthday.

Aless - is it possible that you could be honest with your in laws and offer them the chance to take Finn out for a few hours on their own? Gives them time to spend bonding with their grandson and gives you a few hours to nap or just relax. My MIL and my parents are delighted when I visit and make excuses to go and do stuff for an hour or so. I only do it for them, not because I actually have stuff I need to do on my own.

Holly has gone from crawling position to sitting up 3 times since last night and we haven't seen her do it at all. DH thought I had sat her up and I thought he had!

Possibly, though I'm not entirely sure what that feels like. It's just really full. Oh well, going to bed shortly and hopefully when I feed in the night it will relieve the pressure. :o (thanks for replying, Susan)
Things which I think are supposed to help are massaging it while feeding/expressing, feeding in a different position and warm bath/flannels. I found a different position worked one time and massaging while expressing worked the second.

Beenie, it doesn't matter now but I was just thinking that on my bike I used to use a tape on the handle bars that was easy to buy and you just stick it on yourself so your buyer could do that instead of foam.

Freaky! I've had exactly the same thing today! I just made Erin feed from that side all evening to get it back down and luckily it went down fine. Last time it happened I had to express before Erin would drink from that side again.

FBB - about going out in the evening - you wont know until you try, I've had Erin out lots and she's been fine but every time I wonder if it will be ok as she's changing all the time.

Managed to get three books for a pound each in M&S for the party tomorrow :money:Not very big but I don't know the mums or babies that well and they did only give me a days notice :o. I'm looking forward to it though as it will be the first time visiting someone else's house in Streatham :o have made lots of friends but struggle to get past the acquaintance stage. Reading that back some might suggest there is a reason I don't make it past the acquaintance stage - poo, not going to think about it, off to bed.

I think it's totally normal to get stuck at the acquaintance stage with mummy friends. I find a lot of them are 'nice enough', but maybe not people who would be my first choice to socialise with, IYKWIM. It's still very nice to have people to talk baby with though!

    Morning!

Hope everyone is ok this morning?

Boo, so sorry, but I finally managed to get to the post office yesterday, so hopefully be with you shortly :)

Congratulations Krystal :j :j (also a teeensy bit jealous!)

Welcome back Beenie & woohoo for the Joolz, hope you love it! for the neighbours. Can't offer any words of advice, other than that if I were you I'd be posting dog poop through their letter box :p & I hope you managed some sleep in the end

Fab news on wee James :j:j

SJ that next pic along of Alfie & Guy tickled me, all the attempts to get them to look up and they both look down! My son is officially massive compared to diddy Alfie :o :j for the Pandora

Hi Jolene, lovely to hear that little Sophie is doing well & you're all recovered - know the feeling of hospital cabin fever, 6 days was enough for me! Have you any mums & babies type groups nearby you could try?

We've had a hideous night, Guy decided to wake up every 2 hours  Think he's constipated, not been in a couple of days and seems really frustrated, any tips? Really hoping I can drop him with my parents for a couple of hours today so I can nap!

eta: Anyone got any good fathers day present ideas? I'm stuck - we're trying not to buy 'stuff' i.e. mugs etc, as we don't want to move house with any more than we already have. I can't think of anything 'dad' related to get him :/

We did baby foot prints on a card when Henry was about Guy's age. I also agree that chocolate or snacks of his choice is always a winner, or how about an IOU from Guy owing OH a lie in or something (which of course you will have to action, but still).

fitzio, if it were mil on her own, i would. But fil is ill and couldn't really go out walking or whatever. But good idea for the future, as it's usually mil on her own. :)

No red spots, gymfiend. Am about to put warm compress on it to see if that helps. Why do we have to be out of paracetamol?!

Sorry i'll stop moaning. The weather's nice at least! :p

I think so SM - i'm up for it.

Good luck with the driving lesson.

    Morning everyone.

Aless - I used to find a nice warm shower made them explode and release some pressure.
