Dinah I't be a bit worried about the safety of a tower like that especially if you have drunks or kids. Can I suggest you think about buying some silicone sealant and use it to stick the glasses together at the rims? Them you could transport them "ready built" to the venue?

The would possibly get knocked over without drunks or kids as well, I'm not particularly clumsy and still manage to knock things over occasionally - my first thought was that they may fall over too.

Dinah - will you/the venue be securing them together at all? I would wonder if for safety reasons they wouldn't allow the display like that, no matter how expensive they are.

Dinah don't buy any of the crystals yet, it's possible I have some I could give to you. Off to my cousin's wedding this weekend but can sort out some pics next week if you would like.

We're thinking about securing them, we went out to the venue tonight and they have no issue with them unsecured, but I don't really want them toppling over! Think we might see what glue is easy to remove so we can still resell them after.

    Hi Dinah

Do you know roughly what size crystals you'd want and how many tables you'll be having? Would you want them all clear, or could they be a colour? (Think some of mine might be lilac). Then I'll check for you and see what might be good and put up some piccies :)

These are fairly thin glasses, but I'm going to grab some more floating candles this morning, so I have one per glass and set my trial one going, see what happens. I had one candle in one glass and it one fine, but the candle ran out in 1 hour 50mins - another problem I hadn't considered.
