Came to this thread late, didn't know if you can poach any ideas off this site.

I've been trying to find something I've seen before, someone had a 50s Ice Cream parlour, where everyone helped themselves to various things to put on the ice creams. A bit of a 'create your own'
Those glasses look AMAZING! We're not allowed candles at the venue so I can't even beg to steal your idea
We're only allowed tea lights, originally I wanted pillar candles in hurricane lamps, but I'm glad I thought outside the box now!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Lol I did know that actually - my grandad told me! But he then assured me he'd be one of only about 5 people there who would realise that!spongebabs wrote: »That looks amazing! We're having 6/7 tables, the clear stones scattered on the base will easily do all 6 tables, and they are £2.30 a tub. The pearls in the glasses are £4.00 a tub, but I think we might need 3 of those. The champagne glasses are £19.99 for 12, so thats the expensive bit! I considered just doing a tower of 4 but our tables are pretty big and they looked lost. The mirror plate is 35cm and cost £3.19.
The big 50cm vase is £10.49 though so a lot cheaper if you wanted these as centerpieces. You could use 1 tub of pearls per 4 glasses, slightly smaller mirror plate with maybe some tea lights round the base etc. I'm a little concerned it might all crash down if someone bangs the table, so might be going for the single tall vase option yet!
The plan is to do this and resell everything on ebay afterwards. The champange saucers look like they might even make a profit on there given they seem to sell for £30 a dozen or so, so once we've resold it all hopefully they'll only have cost us a few quid.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Good idea to try and recoup some money on ebay aferwards0 -

as a guest i would be terrified of sitting at the table though - one knock and the tower would fall! at sis in laws wedding i managed to knock over my champagne during the husbands emotional speech.....2011 biggies: £1000 holiday,£100 all saints voucher, £200 ticketmaster, Links London bracelet, Ted Baker watch, £50 Oliver Bonas
