I've really got out of the way of mealplanning and I tell you, it stopped the fuss and drama each night over "what is there" or "don't fancy it".
As I have absolutely no inspiration I take it all from you so we've done a pick and mix and chosen post numbers to have that person's dish for that night so here goes.
Mon - Chilli and Rice - Freaky Ogre
Tues - Pork Steaks, potatoes, veg - JC2703
Wed - Burgers & Salad - Guccigoo
Thurs - Meatballs and spaghetti - Sunny Girl
Friday - Blimus Oreilly tbc - no pressure but what are we having?
Sat - Own choice as it's Dr Who picnic night (weeping angels eeek)

Right, now that I've sorted that I just have to get the delivery arrangements for you all to send to me:rotfl:I love it! I do exactly the same thing and it proves that the thread works for us all to take inspiration from :T Now just need your address ........................
Saturday: Pesto prawn kebabs, tomato pasta, HM garlic breadAny chance of the recipe please and do you think it'd work with chicken or pork as we're not big prawn lovers. DH & I like them cold in a salad or cocktail but not hot for some bizarre reason

Hi Sunnygirl,
Got the idea for prawn kebabs from here - it would be gorgeous with chicken too! Thought it would be nice and summery to go with the weather. Just having them with pasta in HM tomato sauce I found in freezer; tinned toms, garlic, basil, etc

Katy Thanks for that I have bookmarked the page. It does sound easy I agree. I'll probably try them with a rice dish & salad later in May. Thanks again!0

We-Linguini with peas and wild garlic pesto, salad
Th-Steak, potato and brie dauphinoise, asparagus (coming in veg box :j:j)
Fr-Smoked haddock chowder (with spring greens instead of spinach)
Sa-su-away for the weekend.
Change of plans already! We decided we didn't fancy going out for dinner so instead had roast chicken spuds and veg last night, so now the week goes:
Sunday- Chicken and mushroom pasta bake with salad (we may go out for lunch though-just a pub lunch yum)
Mo-wet and wild garlic risotto (I just LOVE the name) with salad
Tu-Fri-as above, but hey-you never know! I may just change my mind-does anyone else change everything that much?:rotfl:
(and went shopping with OH yesterday-to waitrose to pick up a bottle of wine-oops spent 45quid (well actually 32 with offers, and had a £6 off when spend £30 voucher-not valid until today but they let me use it-YAY go waitrose :T:beer::j) I did buy enough Rocks squash for about 4 months though0 -
Totaly fell of the wagon the last 2 weeks. Going to aim a bit lower this week and just list meals without days attached, maybe that will get me over the mental block...
For the two of us -
Vegetarian Goulash (makes one dinner plus two lunches)
Vegetarian bolganese pasta bake (makes two dinners)
Moroccan spiced veggie mince cous cous (new for me, no idea how much it will make!)
mushroom rissotto (one dinner)
Leek and potato soup (one dinner or several lunches)
Possibly curried lentil, veg and noodle soup (lunches, its a house special in these parts!)
Cant really spend anything between now and the end of the month so we'll need to stick to it!Mortgage free by 30:eek:: £28,000/£100,000Debt free as of 1 October, 2010
Taking my frugal life on the road!0
