Ahh Argos...they who refused to believe my camera was actually broken and it was that i was using low quality batteries (really...they were specially for camera, and high spec). Digital zoom is useless, you can do the same thing in any photo editing software.!!

My Fuji digital has a 3x optical zoom, but a 15x digital zoom - I leave the digital zoom off by default.
Digital zoom is just a microprocessor-based effect applied after taking the image to give the effect of a greater zoom factor than the camera can do with the lenses.0
