Bought a house - heating not working

Comments

  • Gas is on as boiler is consistantly producing hot water. Pressure is ok and all the settings are in the right place

I have contacted the estate agent as I haven't spoken to the vendor direct and they have said that they will have a word with the vendor to see if there's anything they know about

I will have to get someone to look at it, but I am not happy about paying as it should be working! My solicitor says that it is common for people to move into houses and something isn't working so he advised to get a quote and get the vendors to pay for it. Damn right!

TBH you should get someone in to check the gas boiler anyway when you move in - epecially if there's a problem.

I know some people think it's over cautious but people train to mend these things for a reason.
