When you went on hol booked by another family the person booking would have had to have given your name (as well as other guests names) when they did the online check-in form (or the equivalent paper form). Then your name (as well as all other guests who went under that booking) would have their name registered against that booking ref by C Parcs. Then ALL those people would be entitled to use the booking name and ref for CBS. I would be very surprised if anyone would give you their name and booking ref and if they did whether you would get away with using it even if you did feel it was not wrong.

Totally agree with this. This would be the only reason you could use the booking in another name as you would have been named as a guest on the original booking.

    Thanks for your help

Our problem is that we are taking an extra child which means we need a 4 bed but they have sold out so I really do not know what I am going to do :-(

Which CP are you going to?

We did go to Whinfell one year, and although we didn't need it, I am sure they had a system (before CP took it over) where you could have an extra bed.
Not sure if they still do this - check out their website, or give them a ring.
You don't need to say you are already going, and give the date and details etc, just ask.... is it possible to have a put-up bed added, and of course you will pay any additional cost.

Have they got any 4 bed vacancies at a different CP that week?

If all avenues are a dead-end, you will just have to say 'extra' child unfortunately cannot come.:(, but promise to take them if you ever go again.
  • Thankyou all sorted now :) xtra child is no longer coming as going away with his mum so covered, phewww

They don't do any (apart from the come back soon one).

Best way to get a good deal for October this year, is to leave it as late as possible to book, as they drop the prices to fill the remaining villas. If you go to the booking page and go through the process up to choosing a villa you can generally see how many are left (by seeing which ones are available under villa preference), the more there are, the greater the chance of the price dropping.
  • We're planning on going on the 16th September for the weekend. Is it worth adding the Flying Start Package? Also, is it better to use their bikes or to bring our own?

As long as you have really good locks, taking your own is obviously the cheaper option, and you would need to keep them inside the villa overnight (it says it in the small print). But if they are really nice bikes I would maybe not risk it. There have been lots of bike thefts over the years.

As for the flying start, we've never bothered as we go in the pool in the afternoon and move the car after the rush has died down. If you are hiring bikes though it's a fairly good deal.

    Have a fab time :D
