Thurs 22nd April - What small DFW things have you done today?!

Hi All!
Today I:
Did a wash and put it on the airer.
I had to do a tumble dry as I had somethings on Ebay and I had freshly washed them and needed them bone dry so that was bad
Put a further 10 items on ebay
I wrote a letter to Muller to complain about yoghurts that the plastic kept breaking on leaving sharp bits in the youghurt. My son almost ate one of the sharp plastic bits. They sent me £5 vouchers today. I'm delighted as we buy loads of yoghurt
Had a lady come and collect an Ebay item and she gave me some cash for another item she saw that she liked.
Took the dishes out of the dishwasher that my DH put in there this morning and hand washed them
Had to get some fresh stuff from Asda so I made sure to buy the offers. Still came to £6 more than I had hoped. But from a reformed shopaholic this is quite good.
I was told I would hear by the end of work today if I got a job I applied for, so that's not looking good.
We ate lunch from stores and dinner will also be from stores which is great. I survived this week on £56 for shopping which is very good when I have a one year old who goes through nappies like crazy, a 3 year old who wets the bed and needs pyjama pants and a dog who also costs quite a lot. So Take away the nappies from that and we lived on just over £40 this week0 -
:j yay most of my seeds have sprouted!!! Such a good feeling
, my battered soul feels a little nurtured after I saw that :j:j:j. Its so weird how the seedlings are so therapeutic, if someone had said to me 10 years ago how much pleasure i get from it I would have laughed for a week! think I'm gonna use the energy I have on cleaning instead of brooding! Oh will be shocked

Hi all, and welcome newbies!
Huge congratulations on your engagement catmiaow! How exciting!:j
spendaholiceejit - Do you have a 99p store near you? In my local they often sell pyjama pants at 99p a pack.
Today I:
1) Went to work
2) Packed lunch, and dinner from stores ( Approved Food dinner nonetheless)
3) Sold a pair of shoes for £5
4) NSD
5) Checked banking, quidco and did SC etc
6) Recycled an item through Netmums.
7) Saw a NO17 make up set on clearance in Boots for just £1.50. Paid with my points, and gave it to B as a surprise pressie. ( I was in there collecting a prescription, I haven't fallen off my 'no toiletery shopping' bandwagon!)
8) Will watch the election debate tonight as I am answering a survey about it afterwards.
9) Cashed in some survey points for an Amazon voucher for my present stash.
10) Sent OHs Gran a bday card from my stash.
11) Received a free Dove shower gel in the post.
12) Put Tesco mailing points vouchers in my MOC purse.
See you later, L x0 -

Tried to find my brother - he's currently 'very quiet'

Reassure Lodger that Scotland ACTUALLY IS THIS COLD NORMALLY - its kinda getting a bit on my nerves as she has the spare electric heater on ALL THE TIME - (which is OK) but she's also moaning about how cold it is - I know its childish but I want to YELL:
YOU'RE THE WARMEST LARGEST-ROOMED PERSON IN THE HOUSE - YOU CHOSE TO COME TO A TINY ISLAND IN THE NORTH OF SCOTLAND - YOU'RE INTELLIGENT - PUT A F'ING JUMPER ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And breathe
*when I asked her if she hadn't enquired as to the weather here normally she said she HAD but she DIDNT BELEIVE it would be as bad as people said.
*walks off shaking my head*
Sorry peedie rant over

The rest of you I hope you've had a good day! I've been doing data all day and my eyes/head is all googly.
Spendaholic - well done on a good grocery shop
PS the fish will be OK but let it defrost and smell it first

Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:

Thanks Lurleene, Next time I am in one I will have a look and stock up. But unfortunately I live in the middle of nowhere and our nearest town is very small. It only really has a few shops.
I got all my family to sign up to Super Savvy Me and get the Pampers Pyjama pants samples and vouchers for a free packet, but we have run out now.
It's catch-22. He feels too big for nappies, and if we leave him without anything he will definitely wet the bed; which would lead to more washing. I dont want him feeling like a baby so the Pyjama pants are something he agrees with. I hope he grows out of bedwetting soon.0 -
Afternoon all!
Another lovely sunny day here up north!
What's all this about engagement Cat - fab news!!! Congrats.
Hello to everyone else too - we all seem to be in good spirits today:T
My little list for today...- Took packed lunch to work
- Tried to drive carefully to preserve the last bit of petrol in the car
- All food from stores (meatballs and spaghetti tonight - quorn ones for me, meat for OH)
- Checked banks - no movement (good)
- Will check survey balance
- Walk dog for free exercise - (walk and park so far - quite enjoyed them for once !)
- Stay in and watch telly and a bit of the election debate thing - go on Nick!!!
- Start shopping list for Saturday and meal plan for the week
- Try to find memory stick - don't want to have to buy a new one
- Maybe do a bit of marking later - not urgent so not very motivated to do it

.............How about quidco and someone who delivers online - eg boots/asda/tesco/superdrug - that way you make a wee bit back and can do an order for a batch of them?
Just a thought - I do this with hair dye - (I'm getting old!) and I have long thick hair - it annoys me I can't get it always so I went to online.
Now I get quidco and cashback and have the brand I like.
I have to buy it anyway so its a small way to 'beat the system'.
