Well, I got my missing medication this afternoon.
No manufacturing delay. They ordered it yesterday and it arrived today.
What they couldn't answer is why they didn't order it when they went to process the prescription, and instead waited till after the event.
There was no apology, think my custom has outstayed its welcome.
I'll be looking at an alternative chemist for the future.

Thanks to all those who have commented. I'm not very good at writing down these things, and it helped just getting it off my chest.

    I know... I so :rotfl:
Souwesterly's comparison truly shows the low level of intelligence they have :rotfl:
I mean really........ comparing a Tesco delivery to a prescription delivery :rotfl:
Glicky - my chemist is just down the road - I can walk there in less than 5 minutes.
Asda and Tesco are both on the other side of town - all of 10 minutes away by car....but that's still a car journey away. So I often order on-line. And when things go wrong, it's an inconvenience that becomes almost more important than getting my prescription right.
(Asda have their own pharmacy by the way, but quite often they can't complete a prescription, so I don't use them.)

I doubt if Lloyds are guilty of dishonesty. Incompetence, more like.
Lloyds seems to very sloppy all round.
Definitely - poor Saintscouple seems to be suffering from an overdose of uselessness on behalf of his local pharmacy. Time for a change, if possible.
Thanks to all those who have commented.
Thank you - for bringing this one up. It's certainly stirred up a few people!
Hope everything gets better for you. Perhaps a change of pharmacy will lower your stress levels!:)

Glad it got sorted out for you OP and that you now have your medication. We have an independent chemist near work and he is brilliant. Always has time for a chat, gives great advice and always recommends something that works best rather than the most expensive product, I make a point of going to him for other bits and bobs (toiletries etc) because of this. I have yet to find the same level of service and friendliness from any other pharmacy. I've recommended him to friends who will not go anywhere else either and have also recommended him to other people, just goes to show what a little bit of customer service and attention to people's queries can do for you.

I had a similar problem with LLoyds(though no fault of theirs) a few years ago when one of my blood pressure tablets suddenly started being difficult to obtain. It went on for quite a while. I then discovered it had been re-priced by the manufacturer to about one-tenth of its previous price and they were holding back production in the hope GPs would switch patients to their newer and more expensive drugs.
