Having random text messages that won't stop.

Hi I am sorry ahead of time if this is the wrong place to post this but head all over the place and want to get this sorted before bedtime.
For the past 5 hours I have been receiving very random text messages, not nasty or threatening, nor sexual, however when I have sent a text back asking who it is I get no reply, only another random text back, I have even tried to call the number for it to ring and then go to vodaphone answering machine.Just when I thought they had stopped another came through, they seem to be at half hourly intervals, the content of the message is very random..... this is one of them.
"Between you and me,which type of lady did he go for? Was he traditional in his tastes like Leeroy? or did he cast his net further afield as the prince likes to do"?
Another says "Eating king prawns gives me terrible flatulence prince..."
sounds rather funny as they are so random, however being a single parent with kids asleep and dreading the sound of my text mesage alert is no laughing matter at this time of night, I can't post all of the messages as they are too long and in detail about nothing but randomness.
Could anyone help by explaining how I go about blocking this number from my Nokia 5800 please as otherwise I have a feeling I wont be getting any sleep tonight!

You can download it from your PC and then use PC Suite to transfer it over to your phone. Then when you have installed the app it'll say you have a 7 day trial and do you want to enter your reg code, so then put in the code and it'll upgrade you to full.

    Hi Thriftkitten,

These texts are certainly very odd!

I'm afraid that there is no way of us blocking these texts coming through to you on a network level, however if you would like any help from us or if the texts persist please get in touch via -

Hi and thanks for the info, I am currently with O2, but the calls were coming from a vodaphone mobile as when I called the mobile number back it went to a vodaphone answerring machine.
I had 2 more this morning with the text being as random as ever, followed by another this morning saying..."Bored? start chatting to beautiful women today! Text YEAH to 80331 ByMHU.EC1M 3JB.CS
    02030350228 Fremsg:18+ Now
Reply STOP to stop. They were all from the same Vodaphone mobile number!!
I have never had this problem before until I have recently transferred my number over to a new O2 contract!

Googling 02030350228 it would appear that quite a few O2 phones were being spammed with messages including this number from various mobile phone numbers. There two suggestions were to reply STOP ALL or to switch Push Messages off on your phone - I would try and contact O2 to see if they can block the number directly.

Hi thanks for the info, I can vaguely remember last week whilst I was at work a message coming in from a mobile number(maybe this one) stating that I could claim a certain amount for an accident that I had not long ago had, and it said the same thing
"text STOP" to stop these messages, which I did straight away, and then this all started up yesterday, so now I am reluctant to do it again with this last message, think I will contact O2, my contract with them only started last month, does anyone know the number I dial from my mobile to get through to O2 please.

Bloody O2 crap service, I just explained to the rep what was happening and the fact that I was nervous at night when it's happening and he said all he could suggest was buying a samsung handset so that I could bar the number the T*sser!!! I explained that I was a single parent with a brand new phone contract already and that I couldn't afford, nor did I want to buy a samsung and he said there was nothing he could do as they don't provide a service where by they block numbers, I promptly told them that O2 were Sh*te and that I should of stayed with orange as never had this problem with them!!!!
